(3/15/2013) The San Francisco Giants completed another round of roster cuts Friday, optioning pitchers Dan Otero, Jake Dunning, Chris Heston and Sandy Rosario, shortstops Ehire Adrianza and Nick Noonan and outfielders Roger Kieschnick and Juan Perez to Triple-A Fresno. Pitcher Edwin Escobar was sent to Class A San Jose. The team also reassigned Brett Bochy, Boof Bonser, Steve Edlefsen, Heath Hembree, Michael Kickham, Mitch Lively, Shane Loux, Ricky Oropesa, Adam Duvall, Brock Bond and Gary Brown to its minor-league camp.

Duvall a player to watch

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(2/11/2013) MLB.com reports the 2013 season will be a key year for Giants third base prospect Adam Duvall. The 2010 11th-round pick clubbed 30 homers at Class A last season, but he hit just .258 with a .327 on-base percentage. "He's a guy to watch and it's going to be a big year for him, whether he turns the page and continues to develop," Giants director of player development Fred Stanley said.
