Jameson Taillon among Pirates' roster moves Monday

(3/10/2014) The Pirates made several roster moves Monday, which included sending top pitching prospect Jameson Taillon to minor-league camp. Matt Hague and Carlos Paulino were also reassigned to minor-league camp.

The Pirates also optioned Alen Hanson and Joely Rodriguez were optioned to Double-A Altoona, while Casey Sadler was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.


Jameson Taillon tops list of non-roster invites

(1/14/2014) The Pirates announced Tuesday they invited four players to spring training as non-roster invitees. The list is led by top pitching prospect Jameson Taillon.

The other three players invited to spring training were first baseman Matt Hague, catcher Carlos Paulino and pitcher Zack Thornton.


Pirates continue to cut down roster

(3/27/2013) The Pirates announced Wednesday they optioned pitcher Kyle McPherson, infielder Jordy Mercer and outfielder Alex Presley to Triple-A Indianapolis. They also reassigned catcher Lucas May, pitcher Vin Mazzaro, catcher Carlos Paulino, outfielder Felix Pie, pitcher Ryan Reid and pitcher Mike Zagurski to minor-league camp.
