Padres OF Travis Jankowski gets the call from Triple-A

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(8/19/2015) Following the trade of Will Venable, the Padres have promoted outfielder Travis Jankowski from Triple-A to the Major Leagues. Jankowski was a first-round pick (44th overall) by the Padres in 2012.

Jankowski, 24, has split the 2015 season between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso, batting a combined .335/.413/.425 with 32 stolen bases.

He will be uniform for the Padres on Wednesday, but is not in the starting lineup against the Braves. He has never played in the big-leagues.

"He put himself on our road map and made it easier to make this call," general manager A.J. Preller said Tuesday, per MLB.com. "He earned his way up, for sure."

Padres' Travis Jankowski injures shoulder Thursday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(4/2/2015) Padres outfield prospect Travis Jankowski suffered a right shoulder injury after colliding with the outfield wall Thursday, U-T San Diego reports.

"When we went out there he was starting to feel a little better," manager Bud Black said. "Our trainer felt pretty good about it."

The injury appears like it won't be a long-term issue for Jankowski, who is 2 for 4 with the major-league club this spring.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(4/24/2014) Padres outfield prospect Travis Jankowski will miss a "significant" amount of time after suffering a broken bone in his left wrist on Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Jankowski, the 44th overall pick in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, injured his wrist while running into the fence after making a catch. He was hitting .254 in his first 67 at-bats for Double-A San Antonio.
