Report: Mitch Haniger traded by Milwaukee to Arizona

(7/31/2014) Minor league outfielder Mitch Haniger is headed from the Brewers to the Diamondbacks, according to ESPN.com. The rest of the deal has yet to be revealed.

The 23-year-old Haniger owns mediocre numbers at Double-A Huntsville this season with a stat line of .255/.316/.416.


Brewers send five to minor-league camp Monday

(3/10/2014) The Brewers sent outfielders Kentrail Davis and Mitch Haniger, infielders Hector Gomez and Taylor Green and pitcher David Goforth to minor-league camp after Cactus League action Monday.

Davis went 1 for 9 with two walks in seven appearances, while Haniger went 5 for 10 with one home run, five RBI and one stolen base in seven games. Gomez went 3 for 7 with one home run, four RBI and one walk in nine games, while Green went 2 of 13 with three walks in eight games played. Goforth gave up five earned runs on three hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings over two appearances.

(1/22/2014) The Brewers announced Wednesday they handed out six non-roster invites to spring training. Topping the list are outfielder Mitch Haniger, who is considered the Brewers' third-best prospect by Baseball America, and pitcher David Goforth, who is considered the team's eighth-best prospect.

The remaining players on the list are outfielder Kentrail Davis, catcher Cameron Garfield, outfielder Kevin Mattison and catcher Adam Weisenburger.


Brewers' 2012 first-rounder already on the move

(5/23/2013) Brewers outfield prospect Mitch Haniger has been promoted from low Class A Wisconsin to high Class A Brevard County. The 2012 first-round pick hit .297 with a .510 slugging percentage, .909 OPS, two triples, five home runs, 12 doubles and 25 RBI in 41 games for Wisconsin.

Haniger, who is considered the Brewers' 10th-best prospect by MLB.com, also had more walks (25) than strikeouts (24), while adding seven stolen bases.
