Athletics first base prospect Matt Olson has turned the corner offensively for Class A Beloit following a sluggish start. Olson is considered the A's fifth-best prospect by MLB.com.
The 2012 first-round pick (47th overall) hit .250 with two home runs and nine RBI in 21 April games, but he's batting .341 (15 for 44) with two home runs, seven doubles, 11 runs and 13 RBI through his first 12 games in May.
His slash line through 33 games is .283/.381/.492/.873. Olson has four home runs, 13 doubles, 20 runs and 22 RBI.
