(2/25/2014) The Cardinals haven't ruled out giving catcher and converted third baseman Carson Kelly a look behind the plate during Grapefruit League action, MLB.com reports.
Kelly received an invitiation to major-league camp so he could receive instruction from manager Mike Matheny and catcher Yadier Molina as he makes his transition to a new role, and he has "opened eyes in the process."
Kelly played in 113 games last season between low Class A State College and Class A Peoria, hitting .257/.322/.357 with six home runs and 45 RBI in 417 at-bats.
