Rockies make flurry of moves

(6/21/2014) The Rockies have promoted reliever Wilton Lopez and demoted fellow right-hander Chris Martin to Triple-A. They have also moved outfelder Michael Cuddyer to the 60-day disabled list.

Lopez had been sent down last week.

(6/5/2014) The Rockies recalled pitcher Chris Martin from Triple-A Colorado Springs Thursday, with Jordan Lyles placed on the disabled list with a broken hand.

Martin has appeared in nine games with the Rockies this season, posting a 4.15 ERA in 8 2/3 innings of work.

(4/25/2014) The Rockies announced a pair of roster moves prior to Friday's game against the Dodgers. The team optioned reliever Chad Bettis to the minors and recalled Chris Martin from Triple-A Colorado Springs, the Denver Post reports.

Rockies and Red Sox engage in three-player swap

(12/18/2013) The Rockies traded infielder Jonathan Herrera to the Red Sox in exchange for reliever Franklin Morales and minor league reliever Christopher Martin, according to MLB.com.

Herrera hit .292 in 81 games for the Rockies in 2013, playing mostly in a utility role.

Morales made 19 relief appearances and one start for the Red Sox, and he recorded a 2-2 record and a 4.62 ERA. Martin went 3-3 with a 3.18 ERA and two saves at Triple-A Pawtucket.
