Rays to recall trio from Triple-A

(9/14/2014) The Tampa Tribune reports that the Rays will recall shortstop Nick Franklin, starting pitcher Alex Colome and reliever C.J. Riefenhauser from Triple-A Durham on Monday.

Franklin has hit .210 with two home runs since coming over to the Rays' organization in a July 31 deadline deal. Colome posted a 7-6 record and 3.77 ERA in 15 starts, and Riefenhauser went 3-3 with a 1.40 ERA for Durham.

(4/20/2014) The Rays optioned pitcher C.J. Riefenhauser down to Triple-A Durham following Sunday's loss to the Yankees.  Riefenhauser, who was called up on Saturday, allowed three runs over two-thirds of an inning on Sunday against New York. He logged just two innings of work over the last two days.

Riefenhauser has performed well in 7 2/3 innings in the minors. It's the first time he's been in the majors, so his first appearance will be his major-league debut.

(3/13/2014) The Rays announced several roster moves on Thursday.

The team optioned pitchers Nathan Karns, Kirby Yates, C.J. Riefenhauser and Jeff Beliveau, infielders Vince Belnome and Hak-Ju Lee, and outfielder Kevin Kiermaier to minor-league camp. The team also re-assigned outfielder Mikie Mahtook to minor-league camp.

Rays add four to 40-man roster, sign seven minor leaguers

(11/21/2013) The Rays added infielder Vince Belnome and pitchers Jesse Hahn, C.J. Riefenhauser and Kirby Yates to the 40-man roster Wednesday, while also signing catcher Mayo Acosta and pitchers Mike Colla, Mark Lowe, Victor Mateo, Eduardo Quinonez, Sam Runion and Albert Suarez to minor-league contracts.

Belnome hit .300/.408/.446 with eight home runs and 67 RBI in 444 at-bats with Triple-A Durham. Hahn went 2-1 with a 2.15 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 63:18 K:BB ratio in 67 innings over 19 starts with high Class A Charlotte.

Riefenhauser went 6-1 with a 1.22 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 70:19 K:BB ratio in 73 2/3 innings between Double-A Montgomery and Triple-A Durham. Yates went 3-2 with a 1.90 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 93:23 K:BB ratio in 61 2/3 innings with Triple-A Durham.
