Ryne Stanek undergoes labrum surgery

(12/18/2013) Rays pitcher Ryne Stanek has undergone surgery to repair his right hip labrum and will be out until mid-summer, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Stanek, who was a first-round pick out of the University of Arkansas in the 2013 draft, has yet to pitch in the organization.

(7/2/2013) The Rays signed the second of their two first round picks from the 2013 first-year player draft as they inked Arkansas pitcher Ryne Stanek Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Times reports. He was taken with the No. 29 overall pick in the draft.
