Logan Darnell not a factor into decision

(9/13/2014) Twins pitcher Logan Darnell wasn't a factor into the decision in Game 2 of a doubleheader Saturday night against the White Sox. He was charged with four runs -- three earned -- on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over 4 1/3 innings of work.

Darnell owns a 8.14 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP over 21 innings of work this season. His next start has not been determined.

(9/7/2014) Twins pitcher Logan Darnell was roughed up in a loss to the Angels on Sunday, dropping to 0-2 on the year. Making his third start of the season, the southpaw permitted five runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three over 4 2/3 innings of 14-4 defeat.

Darnell has allowed a whopping 16 earned runs over his last 13 2/34 innings pitched for the Twins. He owns an 8.64 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP over 16 2/3 innings of work. It remains to be seen if he'll be part of the rotation moving forward.

Darnell gave up 11 earned runs in nine innings over two starts in his recent stint with the team. He owns a 8.25 ERA and 12:4 K:BB ratio in 12 innings.

(8/2/2014) Twins pitcher Logan Darnell continued to struggle on Friday against the White Sox in a no-decision. He was charged with four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out four over four innings of a 10-8 defeat.

Over his last two starts covering nine innings, Darnell has allowed 11 earned runs. He owns a 8.25 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP over three starts. If he remains in the rotation, his next start would come Thursday in Oakland.

(7/26/2014) Twins pitcher Logan Darnell was rocked in Saturday's loss, giving up seven earned runs on 11 hits in five-plus innings and striking out seven in his team's 7-0 defeat against the White Sox.

Darnell (1-1) was making his first start of the season with the Twins, and he was able to hold the opposition to two runs through four innings before the White Sox swatted a two-run home run in the fifth and scored three more runs in the sixth (all charged to Darnell). He isn't scheduled for another start and could be optioned before Sunday's game.

(7/25/2014) The Twins will recall pitcher Logan Darnell from Triple-A Rochester to start Saturday against the White Sox, the team announced.

Darnell will start in Kyle Gibson's place, as a back injury is keeping him off the mound. Darnell previously appeared in one game for the Twins, tossing three scoreless innings in early May. He has a 3.43 ERA in 94 1/3 innings at Rochester.

Darnell made one appearance while with the Twins, pitching three perfect innings Tuesday while striking out one in his major-league debut. He returns to a 1.69 ERA and 21:7 K:BB ratio with Rochester, but he figures to spend more time with the Twins later this season.

(5/2/2014) The Twins have placed outfielder Aaron Hicks on the seven-day disabled list reserved for concussion victims.

Hicks sustained the head injury by banging his head against the center field wall while attempting to make a catch Thursday.

Left-hander Logan Darnell was promoted from Triple-A Rochester to take his place on the roster.

(3/9/2014) The Twins made a slew of roster moves Sunday. The team announced pitchers Logan Darnell, Edgar IbarraBrooks Raley and Trevor May were optioned to Triple-A Rochester. 

The Twins also announced first baseman Kennys Vargas was optioned to Double-A New Britain, while infielder Jorge Polanco  and outfielder Max Kepler  were optioned to Class A Ft. Myers.

The Twins also reassigned pitchers Alex Meyer, Lester Oliveros and Yohan Pino, catchers Kyle KnudsonMatt Koch  and Stuart Turner, outfielders Byron Buxton  and Chris Rahl  and infielder Miguel Sano to minor-league camp.
