Guillermo Mota could sign with Orioles

(4/7/2013) Former Giants reliever Guillermo Mota has not retired, reports CSN Bay Area Sunday. In fact, Mota is considering signing a Triple-A contract with the Baltimore Orioles. 

The 39-year-old Mota made 26 appearances for the Giants last year with a 5.23 ERA. He has a career 3.94 ERA over parts of 14 seasons.

(8/28/2012) ESPN's Enrique Rojas is reporting that Giants reliever Guillermo Mota -- whose 100-game suspension for use of a banned substance ended on Tuesday -- is on his way to join the Giants in Houston. Mota was activated by the Giants with Jeremy Affeldt going on paternity leave.
