by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com (5/7/2013) Marlins catcher Miguel Olivo continues to earn praise from the team's starting pitchers. Jose Fernandez credited Olivo following his seven-shutout-innings, nine-strikeout performance Saturday night and Kevin Slowey followed suit after his most recent outing.

He's caught games that have been blowouts on both sides. He's caught close games. He's caught Cy Young winners. When you're in foreign territory over the course of the year, you look to him."
Although Olivo has been solid behind the plate, his offense has been lacking. He entered Monday against the Padres with one hit in his last 24 at-bats (.083).
