(2/5/2014) Power-hitting outfielder Jack Cust has been invited to spring training by the Orioles after impressing at a tryout in Sarasota in January.

The 35-year-old peaked with Oakland from 2007 to 2010 despite frequent strikeouts. He has not had a major league at-bat since 2011.

They optioned infielder Cole Figueroa, outfielder Rich Thompson, pitcher Kirby Yates, first baseman Leslie Anderson and reliever Dane De La Rosa to minor league camp.
