INF Pete Orr returns to Brewers

(11/7/2014) Veteran infielder Pete Orr has returned to the Brewers on a contract that will allow him to join the team for spring training, according to the Toronto Sun.

Orr earned no major league plate appearances this season for the first time since 2010. He hasn't had more than 96 at-bats in any season since 2006.

(1/27/2014) The Brewers announced Monday they signed infielder Pete Orr to a minor-league deal. Orr appeared in just 15 games for the Phillies in 2013, batting .200 with no extra-base hits or RBI.

Phillies outright four off 40-man roster

(10/3/2013) The Phillies cleared four spots on the 40-man roster Thursday, outrighting infielders Michael Martinez and Pete Orr as well as pitchers Zach Miner and Mauricio Robles.

Martinez went 7 for 40 with the Phillies this season and has hit .187/.234/.261 with five home runs and 34 RBI in 364 at-bats over his three-year career. Orr went 4 for 20 this season, giving him a .247/.293/.306 line with no home runs, 11 RBI and six stolen bases in 170 at-bats over three seasons with the Phillies.

Miner made 16 relief appearances for the Phillies this season, posting a 4.40 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 20:17 K:BB ratio in 28 2/3 innings. Robles allowed one earned run in 4 2/3 innings over three appearances with the Phillies while posting a 1.97 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 63:44 K:BB ratio in 64 innings over two minor-league levels in 2013.


Pete Orr gets the start

(8/28/2013) Phillies infielder Pete Orr will start in left field Wednesday against the Mets.

It will be Orr's first start in left since 2008. He'll take on pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka. Orr has not received an at-bats in the majors this year.

(8/26/2013) The Phillies have called up infielder Pete Orr from the minors, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Orr will replace outfielder Casper Wells, who hit the disabled list Monday. Orr is hitting .258/.300/.385 in 325 at-bats in the minors.
