Casey Kotchman a decent NL-only option

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/4/2013) Marlins first baseman Casey Kotchman is owned in 1 percent of leagues. Considering he's been on the DL since Monday, that number is understandable.

But Kotchman is going to be the starting first baseman for the foreseeable future and has decent career numbers when he plays regularly -- in the four seasons Kotchman has had 500-plus plate appearances, he's hit below .272 once and has hit double-digits in home runs in each of those seasons.

Kotchman won't blow you away with his offense, but he should be good for a decent average, a handful of home runs, some doubles and he won't strike out a ton. In an NL-only Roto league, that's good enough for a starting role at CI.
