Manny Parra returns from the DL

(5/24/2013) After appearing in three games for Double-A Pensacola, the Reds activated reliever Manny Parra from the disabled list Friday. Parra has been out since April 23 due to a pectoral injury.

The Reds placed Sean Marshall on the 15-day disabled list to make room for Parra on the active roster. 


Manny Parra moving up to Triple-A

(5/22/2013) Reds reliever Manny Parra is set to continue his minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville Thursday, as he continues to recover from a strained left pectoral muscle.

Parra has made three starts at Double-A Pensacola, pitching five combined scoreless innings. Parra has been out since the end of April.

(5/13/2013) Reds reliever Manny Parra, who is on the 15-day disabled list, began his rehab assignment with Double-A Pensacola on Monday. He worked a scoreless inning, giving up one hit while striking out two. The left-hander did not walk a batter while throwing 13 pitches, nine for strikes.

Parra has been sidelined since April 23 due to a strained pectoral muscle.

Parra will join the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos to begin his rehab. Parra has been sidelined since April 23 with a strained pectoral muscle. In 6 2/3 innings this season, he has an 8.10 ERA.

(4/26/2013) The Reds placed reliever Manny Parra on the 15-day disabled list with a strained pectoral muscle, the team announced Friday. The move was made retro active to April 24.

Cincinnati activated reliever Sean Marshall off the 15-day DL to take Parra's spot on the 25-man roster.

Parra is 0-1 with a 8.10 ERA and has seven strikeouts and three walks over his six appearances.

(2/1/2013) The Reds added relief pitcher Manny Parra to their bullpen Friday after he spent his first five major-league seasons with the Brewers. Parra made 62 relief appearances with Milwaukee last year and registered a 2-3 record and 5.06 ERA. It was also the first season he did not start a game.
