(3/10/2014) The Dodgers optioned pitcher Matt Magill and reassigned catcher J.C. Boscan, pitcher Carlos Frias and infielders Brendan Harris and Clint Robinson to minor-league camp Monday, MLB.com reports.

McGill recorded two outs Monday without giving up a hit or a walk, and he finishes his spring with one earned run in 5 2/3 innings along with six strikeouts and two walks.

Boscan went 1 for 4 with two walks in five games, while Frias surrendered three earned runs on four hits and one walk without recording an out Monday, leaving him with a 15.00 ERA. Harris went 0 for 1 Monday and finishes camp 3 for 19 with three walks. Robinson also went 0 for 1 Monday and ends his spring 8 for 23 with one home run.


Dodgers sign four to minor-league deals

(11/20/2013) The Dodgers announced the signings of catcher J.C. Boscan, infielders Brendan Harris and Clint Robinson and pitcher Daniel Moskos to minor-league contracts with invitations to spring training Wednesday.

Boscan went 2 for 9 with the Cubs last season while also hitting .232/.297/.270 with 18 RBI in 233 at-bats with Triple-A Iowa. Harris hit .206/.252/.355 with four home runs and nine RBI in 107 at-bats with the Angels. Robinson hit .254/.333/421 with 13 home runs and 55 RBI in 397 at-bats between Double-A New Hampshire and Triple-A Buffalo. Moskos went 2-1 with a 4.97 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 28:15 K:BB ratio in 29 innings with Triple-A Charlotte.

Harris appeared in 44 games with the Angels, batting .206, and he also spent time with the Rangers' and Yankees' Triple-A affiliates.

(5/11/2013) Angels shortstop Brendan Harris led the way in hits for his team in a win at Chicago Friday. Harris recorded three of L.A.'s 11 hits. 

Harris homered for the third time this season in the fourth inning off Dylan Axelrod. It was a solo shot with two outs. He added two singles and scored twice. Harris is batting .288. 

Harris has homered in consecutive games and has gone 5 for 9 in May over five games and two starts.

(4/15/2013) Angels shortstop Brendan Harris homered for the first time since 2010 Monday during an 8-2 loss at Minnesota. Harris took starter Kevin Correia deep in the third inning for a solo blast to left field. 

In an ironic twist, Harris' last homer came while playing with the Twins and against the Angels. 

Harris went 1 for 4 in the game and is batting .250 after 16 at-bats for the Angels. The RBI was his second of the year. Harris has started twice in the last five games for L.A.

(3/31/2013) The Angels purchased the contract of infielder Brendan Harris from Triple-A Salt Lake Sunday. Harris has made the opening day roster as a backup infielder. 

The 32-year-old Harris hit .250 this spring with four RBI over 56 at-bats. He last played in the majors in 2010 with the Twins.
