(3/11/2010) Royals non-roster catcher Edwin Bellorin strained his right quadriceps while running to first in the eighth inning of Thursday's spring game against the Dodgers and was replaced by Vance Wilson. He was hitless in his lone at-bat.
(11/21/2008) The Rockies sent C Edwin Bellorin outright to Triple-A Colorado Springs, clearing him off the 40-man roster. They added RHP Samuel Deduno, RHP Ryan Mattheus, SS Chris Nelson, 2B Eric O. Young, SS Hector Gomez and RHP Shane Lindsay to the 40-man roster, protecting them from the Rule-5 draft.

(9/2/2008) The Rockies recalled 1B Joe Koshansky and C Edwin Bellorin, and SPs Jason Hirsh and Greg Reynolds from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday. They also called up outfielder Dexter Fowler, who hit .335 with nine homers at Double-A Tulsa before spending most of August competing at the Beijing Olympics with Team USA.

(9/1/2008) The Rockies recalled pitcher Steven Register and catcher Edwin Bellorin from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday. Register is making his second appearance on the Rockies' roster this year. He was called up Aug. 4 and struck out the only batter he faced before being reassigned to Colorado Springs on Aug. 6. Bellorin was also recalled on June 15 but did not play in a game before being sent back to Colorado Springs on June 17. In 2007, he played in three games for Colorado and had no hits in two at-bats.

(6/15/2008) The Colorado Rockies recalled C Edwin Bellorin from Triple-A Colorado Springs with Yorvit Torrealba serving the first of a two-game suspension Sunday. To make room on the roster, the Rockies optioned infielder Jonathan Herrera to the Triple-A club. Torrealba was suspended for a fight with the Los Angeles Dodgers' Matt Kemp on June 3. Torrealba, batting .234 with two home runs and 17 RBIs, initially was suspended for three games. Herrera was batting .230 with three RBIs in 61 at-bats for the Rockies.
Rockies cut four players Saturday
(3/29/2008) Right-handed pitcher Ryan Speier and catcher Edwin Bellorin were optioned to Colorado Springs, and the team said right-handers Jose F. Capellan and John Towers cleared outright waivers and will report to the Triple-A Sky Sox.

Rockies place C Bellorin on DL
(8/8/2007) Two days after being called up to the majors leagues for the first time, catcher Edwin Bellorin was placed on the 15-day DL by the Rockies on Wednesday. Bellorin, brought up Monday from Triple-A Colorado Springs, made only one plate appearance in his brief stay. He hit into a double play in the second inning and strained a hamstring while running out the play. Colorado purchased the contract of catcher Alvin Colina from Colorado Springs. Colina was hitting .204 and had five homers and 29 RBI in 64 games with Colorado Springs.
C Bellorin injured in his debut
(8/8/2007) C Edwin Bellorin, who made his first major league appearance, left the game in the fifth inning because of a strained left hamstring. Bellorin injured the hamstring grounding into a double play in his first major league at-bat. Yorvit Torrealba, who was given the night off in favor of Bellorin, took his place.

(8/7/2007) The Colorado Rockies optioned catcher Chris Iannetta to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday. "We need to get him at-bats," manager Clint Hurdle said. "It's up to him get those at-bats, get into a comfort zone and re-establish his confidence." Colorado also purchased the contract of catcher Edwin Bellorin from Colorado Springs. Bellorin had nine homers and 45 RBI and hit .326 in 59 games with the Rockies' top farm club.
