Denorfia has hit safely in four of his last five games, batting .400 (8 for 20) with three RBI. His batting average has gone from .283 to .301 in that span. Denorfia is batting .294 with one double, one home run, six RBI and eight runs in 15 May games (13 starts).

Denorfia, who started in center field before shifting to right later in the game, took Diamondbacks starter Patrick Corbin deep for a solo shot in the seventh inning.
It was the second outing in a row he collected two hits as he added his eighth double in the fifth inning. Denorfia also halted a four-game skid with a strikeout and is now hitting .309 on the season.
