Jason Pridie gets the call Saturday

(8/2/2014) The Rockies have purchased the contract of outfielder Jason Pridie from Triple-A Colorado Springs prior to Saturday's game against the Tigers in Detroit. Pridie hit .275/.331/.426 with 10 home runs, and 43 RBI in 87 games at Colorado Springs.

(3/27/2014) The Rockies have optioned catcher Mike McKenry and infielders Josh Rutledge and Ryan Wheeler to the minors and reassigned outfelders Jason Pridie and Tim Wheeler .

Rutledge has played both middle infield positions with the Rockies. He racked up 562 at-bats in the last two seasons combined.


Rockies will have 24 non-roster invites in spring camp

(2/4/2014) The Rockies announced Tuesday 24 players received non-roster invites to spring training. The roster breakdown is 12 pitchers, four infielders, two outfielders and six catchers.

The pitchers are Christian Bergman, Brooks Brown, Greg Burke, Eddie Butler, Manny Corpas, Yohan Flande, Jonathan Gray, Pedro Hernandez, Chris Martin, Nick Masset, Scott Oberg and Josh Sullivan.

The four infielders are Paul Janish, Angelys Nina, Ben Paulsen and Rafael Ynoa. The two outfielders are Jason Pridie and Tim Wheeler.

The six catchers are Ryan Casteel, Dustin Garneau, Matt McBride, Michael McKenry, Tom Murphy and Jackson Williams.

Gray, Butler and Murphy are among the team's top prospects.


Jason Pridie gets a minor-league deal

(12/5/2013) The Rockies signed outfielder Jason Pridie to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training.

Pridie spent 2013 in the Orioles organization, but he got only 10 at-bats in the majors. He hit .269 with 15 homers and a .767 OPS in 479 at-bats at Triple-A Norfolk.

Gamboa was recently added to the team's 40-man roster. He did not pitch in the majors this year. Pridie received just 10 at-bats in the majors, hitting .200.

(9/25/2013) The Orioles added outfielder Jason Pridie to their roster Wednesday, calling him up from Triple-A Norfolk. Pridie was in Wednesday's starting lineup to face the Blue Jays.

Pridie has played for the Phillies, Mets and Twins, but this will be his first appearance in the majors in 2013.

(3/25/2013) The Baltimore Orioles made two roster cuts on Monday before a Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox. Baltimore optioned infielder Russ Canzler to Triple-A Norfolk and sent outfielder Jason Pridie to minor league camp, reports MASNSports.com. 

Canzler was 9 for 34 this spring for a .265 average with two RBI over 23 games. Pridie was 13 for 42 (.310) with four doubles, two home runs and eight RBI in 19 games.


Phillies show Pridie to minors

(7/24/2012) The Phillies outrighted outfielder Jason Pridie to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday after he successfully cleared waivers. Pridie was designated for assignment Sunday to clear a spot on the roster after outfielder Laynce Nix was activated from the disabled list.
