by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(5/25/2015) Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier went 2 for 3 at the plate in Los Angeles' 6-3 win over the Braves on Monday.

Ethier did his damage in the eighth when he blasted a solo home run off of Nick Masstt to give Los Angeles the lead.

"My frame of mind is to just make the most of my opportunity every day," Ethier said to the L.A. Times. "I still don't know what tomorrow will hold, from a week from now to going even further out. Just really making the most of an opportunity every time we get. Just be prepared for that one day. You just have to go out there and fight and keep going."

Ethier, who also picked up an RBI in the first when he drew a bases loaded walk, is now hitting .313 with 17 RBI on the season.

Dodgers RF Andre Ethier not in starting lineup on Thursday

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5/21/2015) With the Dodgers facing a tough left-hander, right fielder Andre Ethier will be held out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Giants. Ethier is in the midst of a hot streak, batting .375 with a home run and four RBI over his last eight games.

But, he's just 3 for 24 lifetime against Giants' starter Madison Bumgarner, so Ethier will take a seat for the series-finale. Scott Van Slyke will handle right field and bat sixth for manager Don Mattingly.

Dodgers' Andre Ethier, Yasmani Grandal not in lineup on Saturday

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5/16/2015) Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is resting a number of regulars on Saturday against the Rockies. Included in that group is right fielder Andre Ethier and catcher Yasmani Grandal.

Ethier has started 17 of the last 19 games in right field for the Dodgers, and he's been hot at the plate lately. Over his last 10 games, Ethier is hitting .343 with a home run and five RBI. Scott Van Slyke is making the start in right field on Saturday.

Grandal meanwhile has started five straight games behind the plate, so Mattingly will give his legs a rest. A.J. Ellis will catch Zack Greinke against the Rockies.

"A.J. hasn't been playing a whole lot lately," Mattingly said to MLB.com. "I'm trying to get him in there against left-handers as much as I can. I never worry about A.J. as a [good] teammate. I just want to make sure he doesn't feel slighted. He'll be a bigger part of the mix in the next section of games, when we have day after night, and travel."

The Dodgers are heavy road favorites (-185) Sunday.

Dodgers RF Andre Ethier hits go-ahead triple in win on Thursday

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5/8/2015) Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier helped the Dodgers secure their 14-4 victory over the Brewers on Thursday. The Dodgers would score three more in that inning as they slugged their way to victory.

Ethier has been getting regular playing time in right with Yasiel Puig on the disabled list, but he's been having trouble finding consistency at the plate. The veteran outfielder has just nine hits in hist last 38 at-bats, although four of those have been for extra bases (two home runs, a double and Thursday's triple).

Dodgers' Andre Ethier hits two-run home run Wednesday vs. Giants

(4/30/2015) Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier went 1 for 4, smacking a two-run home run in the first inning off Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong Wednesday. It was Ethier's third long ball of the season. He also made a diving catch in right to rob Joe Panik of an extra-base hit, as the Dodgers earned the 7-3 victory.

"The way the game was going to go back and forth," Ethier said, per MLB.com, "to make that defensive stop and keep them from tacking on more runs was pretty big. I thought I had a good bead on it. Usually off a left-handed bat, those balls come back toward right field. That ball stayed straight. I was 50-50 for it."

While fellow outfielders Carl Crawford (oblique) and Yasiel Puig (hamstring) both on the disabled list, Andre Ethier's playing time has grown over the last week. In his last 10 games, Ethier is batting .269 (7 for 26) with two home runs and five RBI.
