Kameron Loe breaks hand in minor-league brawl

(7/28/2014) Diamondbacks pitcher Kameron Loe broke his hand in a minor-league brawl, according to MLB.com.

Loe has only played in six games at Triple-A Reno. He's compiled a 9.00 ERA over 10 games played. Loe has not appeared in the majors this season.

(7/5/2014) Veteran right-hander Kameron Loe, who was released last week by Atlanta, has signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks.

Loe was a mess with Triple-A Gwinnett this season. He compiled a 1-2 record and 8.63 ERA after a poor 2013 with three major league teams in which he gave up 40 hits in 26 2/3 innings and posted an ERA of 7.09.

(4/9/2014) The Royals have signed right-hander Kameron Loe to a minor league contract, a source has told MLBDailyDish.com. He will pitch at Triple-A Omaha, but can opt out if he hasn't been promoted by June 15. The deal is pending a physical.

The 32-year-old Loe performed well in exhibition play this spring with San Francisco, but opted out of that organization when he didn't make the big league team.

(1/13/2014) The Giants announced Monday they extended non-roster invitations to 26 players. They were 16 pitchers, four catchers, four infielders and two outfielders.

The pitchers included prospects Clayton Blackburn, Tyson Blach and Kyle Crick. The remaining non-roster pitchers include Jason Berken, Brett Bochy, Jose Casilla, Rafael Dolis, J.C. Gutierrez, Chris Heston, Derek Law, Mitch Lively, Kameron Loe, Adam Reifer, Sandy Rosario, Dan Runzler and Mason Tobin.

The position players included prospects Joe Panik and Mac Williamson. The other non-roster position players include Jeff Arnold, Guillermo Quiroz, Andrew Susac, Ben Turner, Chris Dominguez, Brandon Hicks, Mark Minicozzi and Javier Herrera.

(9/4/2013) Braves pitcher Kameron Loe struggled during a start against the Mets Wednesday.

Loe gave up five earned runs over just 4 1/3 innings. He gave up 11 hits and walked three. He did not record a strikeout. Loe's ERA rose to 8.59 following the start.

Loe, who declined a minor-league assignment with the Cubs Friday, will join his third major-league team this season. He gave up eight runs, including six home runs, in 6 2/3 innings with Seattle before posting a 5.40 ERA through 8 1/3 innings with the Cubs.

He had allowed nine home runs through his first 15 innings in the majors before signing a deal with Atlanta.

Loe has allowed five runs in his last four appearances. He's had a big problem with home runs this year. In 15 innings, Loe has allowed nine homers. Loe was previously with the Mariners, but was sent down and claimed by the Cubs in mid-April. He has a 7.80 ERA this season.

(4/14/2013) The Cubs have claimed reliever Kameron Loe from the Mariners and moved Steve Clevenger to the 60-day disabled list, ESPN Chicago reports.

Loe, 31, allowed eight runs on 11 hits over 4.1 innings before being designated for assignment by Seattle last week. He'll fill the Cubs bullpen spot opened by Kyuji Fujikawa's injury, although he is unlikely to receive save opportunities.

The move all but guarantees Loe will begin the season in the team’s bullpen. Loe was eligible to opt out of his contract with the team Monday, but the team wanted to keep him. 

Last season, Loe had a 4.61 ERA and a 4.21 FIP in 68 1/3 innings.
