Braves sign Kameron Loe to minor-league deal

(5/11/2013) The Braves signed reliever Kameron Loe to a minor-league deal Saturday.

Loe, who declined a minor-league assignment with the Cubs Friday, will join his third major-league team this season. He gave up eight runs, including six home runs, in 6 2/3 innings with Seattle before posting a 5.40 ERA through 8 1/3 innings with the Cubs.

He had allowed nine home runs through his first 15 innings in the majors before signing a deal with Atlanta.

(5/10/2013) Cubs reliever Kameron Loe has declined a minor-league assignment and will become a free agent, the club announced Friday.

Loe was designated for assignment May 6. He allowed five runs including three homers over 8 1/3 innings for Chicago.

(5/6/2013) The Cubs have designated reliever Kameron Loe for assignment Monday. 

Loe has allowed five runs in his last four appearances. He's had a big problem with home runs this year. In 15 innings, Loe has allowed nine homers. Loe was previously with the Mariners, but was sent down and claimed by the Cubs in mid-April. He has a 7.80 ERA this season.

(4/14/2013) The Cubs have claimed reliever Kameron Loe from the Mariners and moved Steve Clevenger to the 60-day disabled list, ESPN Chicago reports.

Loe, 31, allowed eight runs on 11 hits over 4.1 innings before being designated for assignment by Seattle last week. He'll fill the Cubs bullpen spot opened by Kyuji Fujikawa's injury, although he is unlikely to receive save opportunities.

Loe signed a minor-league deal with the team in the offseason, and was a long-shot to open the year on the major-league roster. He allowed six home runs in 6 2/3 innings and had a 10.80 ERA this season.

(3/25/2013) The Mariners have added reliever Kameron Loe to the 40-man roster.

The move all but guarantees Loe will begin the season in the team’s bullpen. Loe was eligible to opt out of his contract with the team Monday, but the team wanted to keep him. 

Last season, Loe had a 4.61 ERA and a 4.21 FIP in 68 1/3 innings.

(3/22/2013) Non-roster invitee Kameron Loe has won a spot in the Mariners' bullpen, the Seattle Times reports. Loe has struck out 10 against one walk and recorded a 2.57 ERA in 10 spring innings so far. He'll likely be used as a right-handed specialist out of the bullpen.
