(5/16/2013) The Angels purchased the contract of pitcher Billy Buckner Thursday, one of four moves the team made involving pitchers. Buckner, 29, has made 21 starts and 15 relief appearances in the majors in his career, but none since 2010.
In his career, Bucker is 6-11 with a 6.25 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 103:54 K:BB ratio in 138 1/3 innings. He made eight starts for Triple-A Salt Lake this season, going 4-2 with a 4.56 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 40:25 K:BB ratio in 47 1/3 innings.
