Arias went 0 for 2 in the game, dropping his season line to .216/.244/.257 in 148 at-bats.

Arias had just five home runs in 736 at-bats over parts of six seasons heading into Wednesday's game, though all five homers came in 2012. He has hit .288/.306/.368 with one home run, 15 RBI and one stolen base in 163 at-bats.

(7/26/2013) The Giants activated infielder Joaquin Arias from the 15-day disabled list Friday, after he recovered from an appendectomy. Jake Dunning was optioned to Triple-A Fresno to make room on the active roster. 

Arias has not played since July 7 as a result of this issue,  which cropped up the final Sunday before the All-Star break.
