(6/29/2011) Mariners starter Erik Bedard was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday, retroactive to Tuesday with a sprained knee. Bedard went seven innings on Monday against Atlanta, but there had been no report of a knee injury. The team recalled C Jose Yepez to take his place on the roster and did not announce any plans to replace Bedard in the rotation. Fabio Castro, currently with Triple-A Tacoma, could be an option to fill in for Bedard in the rotation.
