Mets interested in Armando Galarraga, Victor Garate

(11/27/2013) The Mets have interest in pitchers Armando Galarraga and Victor Garate , who have offers from Asian ballclubs, ESPN New York reports.

Galarraga made 23 Triple-A starts between two organizations last season, going 6-8 with a 3.64 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 83:46 K:BB ratio in 121 innings with Louisville and Colorado Springs. Garate made 19 appearances (18 starts) in the Mexican League, going 9-4 with a 3.78 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 112:40 K:BB ratio in 100 innings.


Armando Galarraga suffers forearm strain

(7/22/2013) Rockies starting pitcher Armando Galarraga suffered a forearm strain during a start for Triple-A Colorado Springs Sunday, according to The Denver Post. Galarraga had allowed one run on two hits in three innings during his Colorado Springs debut before leaving the game.

He is expected to miss at least one start.


Armando Galarraga acquired by Rockies

(7/15/2013) The Rockies have acquired pitcher Armando Galarraga from the Reds Monday. 

Galarraga has a 2.98 ERA in 16 starts at Triple-A Louisville. He's best known for tossing a near-perfect game. The Rockies gave up pitcher Parker Frazier. 

Galarraga had a 6.75 ERA in 24 innings in the majors last year.
