The 29-year-old is batting just .241/.353/.276 this spring and is looking for every edge to make the roster. Clement was initially drafted as a catcher by the Mariners with the third overall pick of the 2005 draft. He is competing with Wilkin Ramirez and Brandon Boggs for what is likely to be the Twins' 25th and final roster spot.
