Athletics OF Josh Reddick remains red hot

(9:03 pm ET) Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick extended his hitting streak to 11 games Sunday, once again delivering a hit late in the game to keep it alive. 

Reddick's seventh-inning single keeps alive his hot hitting in late-game situations. According to the Contra Costa Times, Reddick is hitting 15-for-22 from the sixth inning on during the 11-game run. During the streak, he has raised his overall average from .258 to .391. 

"...If you look at what I've been doing, if I'm 0-for-2 or 0-for-3, I'm not going up there with any lack of confidence," Reddick said. 


Jedd Gyorko crushes pinch-hit homer in Padres' victory

(8:57 pm ET) Jedd Gyorko crushed a pinch-hit home run Sunday in the Padres' victory over the Rockies.

The homer traveled an estimated 438 feet to straightaway center field.

"It felt good to put a good swing on it. I feel like my swing has been where it's needed to be in the last week or so," Gyorko said. "It's always good to get results."

Padres LF Justin Upton homers, doubles twice in Sunday's win

(8:48 pm ET) Padres left fielder Justin Upton went 3 for 4 with two doubles, homer and three RBI in the Padres' victory over the Rockies on Sunday.

Upton is now 8 for 20 (.400 avg.) over his last five games.


Blue Jays recall pitchers Steve Delabar, Chad Jenkins

(8:45 pm ET) The Blue Jays announced Sunday they have recalled pitchers Steve Delabar and Chad Jenkins from Triple-A Buffalo while optioning pitchers Miguel Castro and Scott Copeland, per TSN radio.

Delabar was 3-0 in 30 games with the Blue Jays last year and was one of the team's last spring training cuts, while Jenkins was 1-1 in 21 appearances. 

Castro was 0-2 with a 3.27 ERA and four saves this year, while Copeland, who was recalled Saturday, pitched one inning in his major league debut. 


Yasmani Grandal leads off 13th inning with walk-off home run for Dodgers

(8:39 pm ET) Yasmani Grandal led off the bottom of the 13th inning Sunday with a home run to break a scoreless game and send the Dodgers over the Diamondbacks.

Grandal entered the game as a pinch hitter in the 10th inning and stayed in to catch.

Diamondbacks reliever Evan Marshall (0-2) served up the walk-off blast.

D-Backs starter Chase Anderson gets no-decision after six strong IP

(8:30 pm ET) Diamondbacks starter Chase Anderson allowed no runs, two hits, walked one and struck out seven in six innings of work Sunday for a no-decision against the Dodgers.

Adrian Gonzalez and Juan Uribe each singled once off Anderson.

Anderson’s outing was a complete turnaround from his last start, where he gave up five runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Anderson returns to the mound Friday against the Padres.


Dodgers SP Brett Anderson throws six scoreless in no-decision

(8:25 pm ET) Dodgers starting pitcher Brett Anderson threw six scoreless innings on Sunday, giving up five hits, none for extra bases, and striking out four in six innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks.

The performance was a strong rebound from his last start where he allowed three runs in 4 2/3 innings against the Giants.

Anderson's next start is set for Friday in Colorado.

Phillies pitcher Severino Gonzalez optioned to Triple-A

(8:10 pm ET) Phillies pitcher Severino Gonzalez has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, the team announced Sunday.

Gonzalez made his second start of the year Sunday against the Marlins, allowing two runs on five hits in five innings of work. He is 1-1 with five strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings this season.


3B Nolan Arenado connects for two homers in Rockies' loss on Sunday

(7:42 pm ET) Nolan Arenado connected for two home runs off Padres starter James Shields on Sunday in the Rockies' loss on Sunday. 

Arenado launched a solo homer in the fourth inning and a two-run shot in the fifth. 

He has now homered three times in his last three games, pushing his season total to six.


Rockies starter Kyle Kendrick smacked around for six runs in loss

(7:39 pm ET) Rockies starter Kyle Kendrick (1-4) gave up six runs on six hits in five innings of work to take the loss in San Diego on Sunday.

Justin Upton knocked a two-run homer off Kendrick in the first inning and Derek Norris added another two-run shot of the right hander in the fourth.

Kendrick's start on Sunday was moved up a day in order to let rotation mate Tyler Matzek rest his hamstring.

Kendrick's next scheduled start is Saturday against the Dodgers.
