Alcantara was just 2 for 26 with five walks and one stolen base in 11 games with the Cubs. Olt is recovering from a hairline fracture in his wrist.

Royals' Kelvin Herrera suspended five games, Ventura fined
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:10 pm ET) Royals relief pitcher Kelvin Herrera has been suspended five games after throwing behind Athletics third baseman Brett Lawrie Sunday, while starting pitcher Yordano Ventura has been fined an undisclosed amount for hitting Lawrie with a pitch Saturday.

Lawrie has been surrounded by controversy after a hard slide into second base Friday injured the knee of Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar. Both pitchers were ejected in their respective games.

Herrera, who has the option to appeal his suspension, has tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings in six appearances. Ventura's avoidance of his suspension keeps him in line to face Chris Sale Thursday.
