Neck injury not an issue as Joaquin Arias comes off bench

(6:02 pm ET) Giants infielder Joaquin Arias was able to appear in Friday's game against the Brewers, his firs game since suffering a neck injury earlier in the week.

Arias went 0 for 2 in the game, dropping his season line to .216/.244/.257 in 148 at-bats. 


Daniel Hudson's return set for Tuesday or Wednesday

(5:59 pm ET) Diamondbacks pitcher Daniel Hudson will make his return to the majors Tuesday or Wednesday in San Diego, manager Kirk Gibson told reporters Saturday.

Hudson, who has not pitched in the majors since 2012, will come out of the bullpen after he is recalled when rosters expand. He will be working on a 25-30 pitch limit for the time being, and it is not clear if he is expected to start at any point in the season's final month.


Omar Infante not 100 percent, but will play Saturday

(5:54 pm ET) Royals infielder Omar Infante is back in the starting lineup Saturday against the Indians, after missing four games with a shoulder injury.

Infante told FOXSports.com he is not 100 percent, but was able to get through pre-game workouts and was cleared to play. 


Jesse Hahn called back up Saturday

(5:50 pm ET) The Padres recalled pitcher Jesse Hahn from Double-A San Antonio Saturday, less than two weeks after sending him down.

Hahn posted a 2.96 ERA In 70 innings of work with the Padres earlier in the season, and his current rule is not clear. The team is looking to limit his innings down the stretch, so he may pitch out of the bullpen. 


Efren Navarro sent to Triple-A

(5:45 pm ET) The Angels optioned infielder Efren Navarro to Triple-A Salt Lake Saturday, in order to clear up a spot on the roster.

Navarro is hitting .254/.318/.356 in 118 at-bats in the majors this season, and will likely be back when rosters expand next week. 


Michael Roth recalled from Triple-A

(5:43 pm ET) The Angels recalled pitcher Michael Roth from Triple-A Salt Lake Saturday, in order to provide some depth in the bullpen.

Roth appeared in two games earlier in the season, allowing four runs in 6 2/3 innings of work. He is likely to remain with the team through the end of the season, with rosters expanding Monday. 


Chris Denorfia still not in Saturday's lineup

(5:36 pm ET) Mariners outfielder Chris Denorfia has not played since he was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with a neck injury, and is not in Saturday's lineup against the Nationals. At this point, his status moving forward is not clear.  

Coco Crisp unable to return Saturday

(5:33 pm ET) Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels, as he continues to deal with the effects of a neck injury suffered the previous night.

Crisp exited Friday's game following a collision with the outfield wall, and will likely need at least a few days to recover. He is day to day at this point.  


Jimmy Nelson sent down, will return for Monday start

(5:26 pm ET) The Brewers sent pitcher Jimmy Nelson down to Class A Brevard County Saturday, to clear a spot on the active roster.

Nelson is expected back in time for his start against the Cubs Monday, with rosters expanding. He has a 4.10 ERA in 52 2/3 innings for the season. 


Alfredo Figaro added to Brewers 'pen

(5:20 pm ET) The Brewers recalled pitcher Alfredo Figaro from Triple-A Nashville Saturday, to provide bullpen depth. Figago has allowed one run in five innings of work at the major-league level this season.
