Reds pitcher Raisel Iglesias only made one mistake in his start Monday against the Cardinals, but it cost him the game in the 4-1 loss.

Iglesias allowed a grand slam to Kolten Wong in the fourth inning. The four runs were the only runs Iglesias surrendered over six innings. He gave up six hits while striking out seven and not walking a batter. He is now 1-3 with a 5.53 ERA.

Iglesias has not earned a win since May 13. He has one quality start in seven starts this season.

Reds slugger Todd Frazier continued his home run assault, blasting his 27th home run of the season in his team's 5-2 victory.

Frazier's three-run homer in the third inning put the Reds up 4-0 and gave him 67 RBIs on the season. His 27 homers are tied with Washington's Bryce Harper and Miami's Giancarlo Stanton for the National League lead and his RBI total is tied for third.

Frazier now has 13 RBIs in July and is hitting .279 on the season.

News
Reds first baseman Joey Votto provided the only significant offense of the game in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Cardinals. Votto launched a three-run home run in the sixth inning off Jaime Garcia to break a scoreless tie.

Votto reached base safely in all four plate-appearances on Tuesday, going 3 for 3 with a walk. He drove in three runs and scored two, recording his 19th home run and his 19th double of the season.

Votto has been on fire at the plate recently, batting a ridiculous .595 with three homers and eight RBI over his past 11 games. Perhaps just as impressive is the fact that he has struck out just once--compared to 12 walks--in those 11 contests.

Diamondbacks general manager Dave Stewart confirmed Tuesday he has talked with the Reds about closer Aroldis Chapman, according to MLB.com.

"I'm going to go down that path and see where it takes us," Stewart said.

Stewart said he didn't know if a deal was likely to get done, but added he doesn't want to do anything that hurts the team in the future.

Yahoo Sports reported earlier Tuesday the two sides were discussing a deal, and the Diamondbacks were doing their due diligence about the lefty reliever.

News
Reds starter Mike Leake was dominant once again, as he blanked the Cardinals over eight innings in a 4-0 win on Tuesday. Leake allowed four hits and a walk while striking out three. He needed 95 pitches to get through the eighth, throwing 61 of them for strikes.

Leake (9-5) was rolling from the word go, as he retired 14 of the first 15 batters to face him. No runner got to third base against Leake, who dropped his ERA to 3.56 with the impressive outing.

The right-hander was stellar in the month of July, going 4-1 with a sterling 1.25 ERA in five starts. Several scouts were said to have been in attendance during the game, as Leake has been the subject of several trade rumors with the July 31 trade deadline swiftly approaching.
