In addition to the late-inning heroics, Martin stole his fifth base of the season. He finished the day 2-for-6 to move his average to .234.

News
Rangers pitcher Ross Detwiler is feeling significantly better with his mechanics after a second bullpen session to work on his delivery, according to the Dallas Morning News. Detwiler will make his return to the starting rotation Tuesday after getting eight days off to work on things, according to report.

"By the end of the session [Friday], I felt like I was back to my old self," Detwiler said. "I was able to put the ball where I wanted to. I was finishing towards home plate. I felt confident. And confidence is a Catch-22. You've got to have confidence to succeed; but sometimes you need to succeed to have confidence."

Detwiler has posted a 10.95 ERA in his first three starts this season.

Lewis, who added four strikeouts and two walks to his totals, worked into the sixth inning, but was unable to record an out after allowing three consecutive batters to reach base. He was credited with two runs allowed after Roman Mendez allowed a single to Albert Pujols to bring home a run and then C.J. Cron to single home two more.

Lewis, now 1-2 on the year, boasts a 3.75 ERA in 24 innings of work. He will look to get back on track Friday against the Athletics.

News
Rangers pitcher Tanner Scheppers wants to figure out why he's scuffling on the mound so dar this season. Scheppers spent Sunday watching tape of himself on the mound with pitching coach Mike Maddux to figure out just what is ailing him, according to MLB.com.

"I know I have to make adjustments," said Scheppers. "I'm beating myself up. The free bags are catching up to me. I need to trust myself and throw the ball over the plate."

Scheppers, who currently boasts an 11.25 ERA in four innings of work, has struggled since coming back from an early ankle injury to begin the year.
"I would be lying to you if I said I was exactly where I want to be," Scheppers said. "I'm not. It is about making adjustments. I understand I need to come in and get outs."
Manager Jeff Banister continues to have faith in Scheppers and will turn to him in the eighth inning set-up role.
"I still believe in Tanner and who he is," Banister said. "The guy is coming off a year where he was a starter, got hurt and then put into the bullpen. We'll continue to look at it and get him on a roll."

News
The Rangers used closer Neftali Feliz for two innings to help lock down a 5-4, 11-inning victory Sunday, with Feliz picking up his first victory of the season.

Feliz threw 38 pitches in one of his longer outings of the year, and though he struck out four batters, he did allow a run in the 11th inning. He was able to get out of a bases-loaded jam, however, to preserve the win.

"It was a tough situation, it wasn't how we drew it up," manager Jeff Banister said to MLB.com. "But he hadn't been in a game for a few days. He was well-rested. It's not ultimately how you'd like to do it."
