Leg - 15-day DL. Out until at least early August (Updated - 7/23/14)
News
Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman's hamstring strain is likely to cost him an extended period of time, as FOXSports.com reports Saturday the team worries he could miss up to two months.

Zimmerman suffered the injury in Tuesday's game, and might be out until late September if this timeline holds up. The report indicates the team is looking at a six-to-eight week absence, due to what is considered a serious hamstring strain.

News
Nationals closer Rafael Soriano saved his 25th game Sunday against the Reds.

Soriano wasn't supposed to appear in the game after the team took a 4-0 lead heading into the ninth, but plans changed after two singles. Soriano entered the contest with two men on base, and promptly allowed them to score on a double. He settled in at that point, striking out the next hitter. Soriano then got a groundout and flyout to finish off the Reds.

In his one inning of work, Soriano gave up one hit and struck out one batter.
