Suns' Thomas attributes improved shooting to wrist procedure
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(11:48 am ET) Over the last four games, Suns guard Isaiah Thomas has made 15 of 30 3-point shots and he said it's because of recently having fluid drained from his shooting wrist, reports The Arizona Republic.

"It affected my shot when I released," Thomas said. "It feels better. I got it done last week when we got home."

Thomas had surgery on the wrist during the offseason and said the fluid buildup is normal and he might need it drained again before the season ends.

"They said it might come back because it's come back two or three times since [the surgery]," he said. "That was the third time they've done it this year. They did something different and it's helped."

Wolves unveil Monday's injury report; Kevin Martin questionable
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(11:34 am ET) Timberwolves forward Kevin Martin is listed as questionable for Monday's game at Oklahoma City, the team announced.

Martin has been out since Nov. 19 with a fractured wrist. The team also announced Ricky Rubio (ankle), Shabazz Muhammad (oblique) and Robbie Hummel (wrist) are out.

The Timberwolves are 15 1/2-point underdogs.

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(11:26 am ET) The Hornets announced Monday center Bismack Biyombo has been diagnosed with a bone bruise on his right knee and will be reevaluated in 10 days. Biyombo suffered the injury during Saturday's game against the Knicks and did not finish the game.

In 38 games, Biyombo is averaging 4.6 points and 6.2 rebounds. Center Al Jefferson is expected to resume his starting role in place of Biyombo.

Cavaliers forward Kevin Love feeling OK after suffering dizzy spell
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(11:03 am ET) Cavaliers forward Kevin Love said he momentarily felt a bout of dizziness during Sunday's win over the Thunder, but said he is feeling good, reports Cleveland.com.

"Everything was spinning there for a little bit," Love said. "It just happened. I was a little shocked. It was a scary moment, but I was good after that."

Love experienced the dizziness when attempting a free throw during the first quarter, but was able to stay in the game. He added that he's experienced the symptoms before and even joked that it might have helped him break out of his shooting slump. Love scored 19 points on 6 of 10 shooting, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range.

"I think it was me getting dizzy in the first quarter," he said. "Just continuing to keep shooting. [Having] confidence."

Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire expects to miss time
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(10:17 am ET) After suffering an ankle and wrist sprain during Saturday's game, Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire said he doesn't know when he'll be available to play, reports Newsday.

"I'm sure it's going to be a little time for me to get over this ankle sprain and my wrist sprain," Stoudemire said. "But we'll see. I'll bombard it with rehab the next few days, recover and see how it feels."

Stoudemire, 32, has missed 13 games this season due to issues with his knees and it appears his history of injuries is catching up to him.

"It [stinks] getting old, guys," Stoudemire said.

The Knicks host the Kings on Monday and Stoudemire has not officially been ruled out. The Knicks are 4 1/2-point underdogs.

Pistons looking to add point guard
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(9:48 am ET) With point guard Brandon Jennings lost for the season due to a torn Achilles’ tendon, Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy told reporters the team is searching for another point guard, reports tsn.ca.

Guard D.J. Augustin replaced Jennings in the starting lineup during Sunday’s loss to the Raptors and scored a career-high 35 points. Reports have surfaced about the Pistons showing interest in Knicks guard Pablo Prigioni.

Lakers guard Jeremy Lin frustrated with diminished role
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(9:35 am ET) After not playing in Friday's loss to the Spurs, Lakers guard Jeremy Lin was admittedly frustrated with coach Byron Scott's decision not to play him, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.

"I'm human. I got emotions," Lin said. "I show up and do my best to play and work hard. But it definitely hurts. It's discouraging sometimes and disappointing. All of those emotions, of course. I don't think anybody would feel great after a DNP, no matter who you are."

Lin had a discussion with Scott to talk about his changing role, which Lin said was positive and productive. However, Scott said he will let the game dictate which players he will use.

"I watch and see how the game is going," Scott said. "I have a good idea of what I'm going to do. But I let the game dictate that."

Lin did play 28 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Rockets and scored 14 points with six assists. As Lin's role changes on a nightly basis, he said it can't let him change how he approaches the game.

"The only thing that has been consistent is the amount of inconsistency I've had in my life," Lin said. "I've gone from getting cut in the D-League to starting to playing heavy minutes to all these different roles every week. I have to keep staying aggressive when I get out there."
