Wolves' Kevin Martin could be ready to rejoin lineup Wednesday
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12:49 pm ET) Timberwolves guard Kevin Martin was back on the court Monday taking shots for the first time in nearly a week since he had fluid drained from his surgically repaired wrist, per The Star Tribune.

Martin added he's hopeful to play Wednesday against the Celtics. He has been sidelined since late November.

“It feels better now than it did when I started practicing two weeks ago,” Martin said. “Getting it drained helps a lot.

“It was a good day. That’s one thing I can do is shoot. I’ll give it one more hard day of practice and see how I feel.”

Wolves' Saunders: Mo Williams 'pretty questionable' for Wednesday
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12:42 pm ET) Timberwolves guard Mo Williams struggled during Monday's loss against the Thunder, totaling four points and going 1 of 10 from the field in 30 minutes. However, it appears a hip injury could be to blame for his struggles Monday.

Minnesota coach Flip Saunders called Williams "pretty questionable" to play Wednesday against the Celtics after watching Williams' shooting woes Monday, per The Star Tribune. Williams injured his hip Sunday against the Hawks.

Williams is seven games removed from a 52-point outburst Jan. 13 against the Pacers.

76ers guard Tony Wroten meeting with specialists, weighing options
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12:35 pm ET) 76ers guard Tony Wroten is weighing his options after meeting with specialists regarding his partially torn ACL, per CSNPhilly.com.

"I have been seeing a lot of doctors and getting a lot of different opinions," Wroten said. "I am just putting a lot of pieces together and figuring out my next steps.

"A partial tear is so different than a torn ACL. It is not a guarantee, 100 percent, that I have to have surgery. It is a tough decision, an important decision that I want to make. I want to talk it over with Sam Hinkie and the doctors."

If Wroten does have surgery, it will be the third operation on his right knee.

"I would rather have that than it continue to be different knees," he said. "It is just a part of the game. It isn't something that they can't fix. It isn't something I can't recover from."

Hornets' Clifford: Pargo still at least a week away from return
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12:29 pm ET) A day after indicating guard Jannero Pargo might be ready to return from a back injury later this week, Hornets coach Steve Clifford said Tuesday that Pargo is still at least a week away from returning, per the Charlotte Observer.

When Pargo does return, however, he could see an increase in playing time due to Kemba Walker being sidelined indefinitely due to knee surgery. Pargo has not played since Dec. 22.

LaMarcus Aldridge still a risk
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:28 pm ET) As good as it was to see LaMarcus Aldridge make a swift and unexpected return to the Trail Blazers lineup from a torn ligament in his thumb last weekend, there is a grey cloud inside of that silver lining. Aldridge's decision to play through the injury is a noble one, but it could end up costing him -- and his Fantasy owners -- in the long run.

The good news is, Aldridge probably can't make the injury much worse than it is by playing through it. He'll be sporting a brace on the thumb while he plays through it, and will likely put off surgery until the offseason. Watching him go for 26 points in his first game back should make his Fantasy owners happy, but Aldridge is going to be a risk for the rest of the season, whether because of re-injury or just subpar performance. He will have to tolerate the pain in the thumb and figure out how to keep his jumper pinpoint, which could bring additional complications.

If you can, now might be the time to trade Aldridge. Other owners in your league might have similar concerns about him, but there is always going to be one person willing to overlook that for the chance that Aldridge can carry their team to the playoffs. You shouldn't sell low on Aldridge for whatever you can get, but if someone is willing to part with another elite player -- a Damian Lillard or Kyle Lowry -- and perhaps an additional piece, it might be worth it for the peace of mind alone.

Rockets forward Terrence Jones getting closer to return
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12:25 pm ET) Rockets forward Terrence Jones has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavs, which is his first status change in months, per the Houston Chronicle. He has not played since early November due to nerve inflammation in his knee.

Rockets' Dwight Howard once again listed as questionable
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12:20 pm ET) Rockets center Dwight Howard is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavs. He sat out Sunday against the Lakers due to a sprained ankle.

Howard is averaging a season-low 13.7 points per game in January. He does have a season-high 131 rebounds through 13 January games.

Pistons' Brandon Jennings undergoes surgery for ruptured Achilles
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11:51 am ET) Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said guard Brandon Jennings underwent surgery Monday night for a ruptured Achilles. He will miss the rest of the 2014-15 season.

Jennings was averaging a season-best 20.9 points per game in January before suffering the injury. He also had 26 rebounds, 94 assists and 17 steals in 13 January games.

Pacers will be without forward C.J. Miles on Tuesday
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11:26 am ET) The Pacers announced forward C.J. Miles will not play Tuesday against the Raptors due to a left groin strain. It will be the second straight game he misses.

Miles, who has been averaging 12.4 points per game in 2014-15, is averaging 14.1 points in January after averaging 14.9 points in December.

The Pacers are considered 3 1/2-point underdogs for Tuesday's game.

Cavs already send Joe Harris back to the D-League
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11:17 am ET) The Cavaliers announced Tuesday they reassigned guard Joe Harris to the NBA Development League, just a few days after recalling him from the D-League on Sunday.

Harris has played in 35 games (one start) for the Cavs this season, averaging 2.8 points in 11.1 minutes per game.
