Report: Cavaliers show interest in SF Tayshaun Prince

(5:55 pm ET) The Cavaliers have expressed an interest in veteral small forward Tayshaun Prince, who they believe could provide badly needed depth on the wing, sources have told the Northeast Ohio Media Group, which is further reporting that talks have only been exploratory.

The 35-year-old Prince averaged 7.5 points per game for Memphis, Boston and Detroit a year ago and shot a strong 46 percent from beyond the arc.


Report: PF LaMarcus Aldridge no longer considering Lakers

(4:42 pm ET) Coveted free agent power forward LaMarcus Aldridge has ruled out the Lakers as a possible destination, according to the Los Angeles Times, which is claiming he was unimpressed with the basketball aspect of their presentation.

Aldridge continues to weigh his options, but various reports still have him leaning toward San Antonio. Reports have also indicated that he will make all his planned visits before deciding.


Report: G Monta Ellis meeting with Pacers

(4:22 pm ET) Veteran free agent guard Monta Ellis is set to meet with the Pacers, the Indianapolis Star has reported. He arrived in town Wednesday afternoon.

The 29-year-old Ellis maintained his consistent production last season, averaging 18.9 points a game. It was his eighth straight season of averaging at least that. He also shot 44.5 percent from the floor, though his percentage from beyond the arc dipped to a disturbing 28.5 percent.


Report: Center Robin Lopez set to meet with Knicks

(4:17 pm ET) Center Robin Lopez will meet with the Knicks this week, per the New York Post.

Lopez, who has expressed an interesting in staying with the Trail Blazers, is coming off a third straight productive season. He averaged 9.6 points and 6.7 rebounds in 28 minutes per game while shooting a strong 53.5 percent from the floor.


Report: Celtics sign SF Jonas Jerebko to two-year contract

(3:53 pm ET) Small forward Jonas Jerebko has re-signed with the Celtics to a two-year deal worth $10 million, according to USA Today.

Jerebko played more extensively late last season after arriving from Detroit. He finished the year averaging 6.0 points in 17 minutes per game.


Report: Thunder reach deal with Kyle Singler

(3:44 pm ET) The Thunder and forward Kyle Singler reached an agreement on a five-year, nearly $25 million contract Wednesday, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Singler was a restricted free agent with the Thunder able to match any offers for Singler. He averaged 6.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 80 games last season.


Amir Johnson agrees to deal with Celtics

(3:39 pm ET) The Celtics reached a contract agreement with free-agent forward Amir Johnson on Wednesday, according to CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger. The reported deal is worth $24 million over two years. 

Johnson averaged 9.3 points and 6.1 rebounds in 75 games for the Raptors last season.


Report: Warriors no longer negotiating with Draymond Green

(3:25 pm ET) Forward Draymond Green and the Warriors have broken off contract talks, a source told Yahoo Sports.

Green is a restricted free agent and the Warriors can match any outside contract offers. In 79 games last season, Green averaged 11.7 points and 8.2 rebounds.


Suns reach deal with Tyson Chandler

(3:20 pm ET) The Suns and center Tyson Chandler reached an agreement on a contract Wednesday, reports CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger. The deal is worth a reported $52 millon over four years.

Chandler averaged 10.3 points and 11.5 rebounds in 75 games for the Mavericks last season.


Suns all set on $70 million deal with G Brandon Knight

(3:10 pm ET) What was expected now appears official: the Suns have signed guard Brandon Knight to a five-year extension worth $70 million, a source has told CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger.

Knight, who lost time late in the year to minor ankle surgery, has established himself as a standout. He averaged 17.2 points and a career-high 5.2 assists in 32 minutes per game last season. He hit a career-best 38.9 percent from beyond the arc as well.
