Rockets, Timberwolves, 76ers complete Corey Brewer trade
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(9:15 pm ET) The Rockets, Timberwolves and 76ers completed a three-team trade Friday night, the teams announced.

The Rockets received forward Corey Brewer from the Timberwolves and guard Alexey Shved from the 76ers. The Timberwolves picked up guard Troy Daniels, Sacremento's 2015 second-round pick, Houston's 2016 season-round pick and cash considerations from the Rockets.

Brewer is the prize of the deal, having averaged 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.2 steals in 24 games. Shved has averaged 9.9 points and 2.7 assists in 17 games with the 76ers. Daniels has averaged 2.7 points while shooting 31.9 percent from the field in 17 games.

The 76ers received center Ronny Turiaf from Timberwolves as well as Houston's 2015 second-round pick and the rights to Serhiy Lischuk from the Rockets. The team is set to waive Turiaf, who is out for the season after undergoing hip surgery earlier in the week.

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

Nuggets PF Darrell Arthur (leg) out Friday vs. Clippers
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:16 pm ET) Nuggets power forward Darrell Arthur has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Clippers due to a lower left leg strain, the Denver Post reports.

Arthur managed to play a season-high 28 minutes Wednesday but is now day-to-day with the leg injury. He has averaged 7.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in 24 games.

The 10-15 Nuggets are a 3-point underdog at home against the 18-7 Clippers Friday.

Bulls SF Doug McDermott (knee) hopes to return in 3-6 weeks
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:11 pm ET) Bulls small forward Doug McDermott believes he'll need just three-to-six weeks to recover from Saturday's surgery to repair a small meniscus tear, Bulls.com reports.

"When we got the MRI, I was definitely shocked,” McDermott said Friday. "But then Dr. (Brian) Cole explained to me this is a very minor knee issue and very easy to come back from and I’ll be feeling ... he said I’ll be wanting to play within a week. I just have to listen to him and the trainers and not rush it. There’s really no point in it, rushing now for me."

McDermott added that he couldn't remember doing anything to cause the injury, which came to light after he noticed swelling in the knee after a long road trip. The rookie has averaged 3.2 points on 42.3 percent shooting in 17 games.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

Watson was questionable for Wednesday's game but was able to score 12 points in 29 minutes of action. He should be back on the court Saturday despite the malady. The guard has averaged 11.3 points and 4.4 assists in 11 games.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(7:31 pm ET) Cavaliers shooting guard Mike Miller will make his return to action Friday and is in the starting lineup for his team's matchup with the Nets.

The Cavaliers are 11-point favorites over the Nets Friday.
