Bulls' Jimmy Butler drops career-high 35 points in win over Knicks

(10:44 pm ET) Bulls guard Jimmy Butler went off Thursday, going for 35 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and four steals in Chicago's 103-97 win over the Knicks.

Butler shot 11 for 21 from the field, including 4 for 7 from three-point range and 9 for 10 from the free throw line, in his career night against New York.

Butler and the Bulls will look to stay hot Friday when they head to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. 


Celtics' Rajon Rondo officially traded to Mavericks for trio of players

(9:25 pm ET) The Celtics and Mavericks have officially completed a deal to send point guard Rajon Rondo to Dallas. Boston is also trading power forward Dwight Powell to the Mavs, the team announced.

Dallas is sending center Brandan Wright, forward Jae Crowder and point guard Jameer Nelson along with a conditional first and second round draft pick to the Celtics. 

To make room for the players being traded, Boston has also waived center Vitor Faverani and acquired a $12.9 million trade exception.


Warriors hoping to have David Lee back in a week

(9:16 pm ET) Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Thursday the team is hoping to get forward David Lee back next week if everything goes well in practice Friday and Saturday. 

Lee, who has only appeared in one game this year with multiple injuries, averaged 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in 2013-14.


Report: Hornets not trading Lance Stephenson just yet

(9:08 pm ET) Hornets guard Lance Stephenson is reportedly going to stay in Charlotte for the time being as the Hornets have not received good offers for him, according to ESPN reporter Chris Broussard.

Stephenson, who is averaging 10.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, has been rumored in trade offers for the Pacers and Heat, which Broussard indicates are still interested.

Stephenson is in the first year of a three-year contract with Charlotte after spending his first four seasons in Indiana. 


Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo will play Thursday against the Kings

(9:01 pm ET) Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will play Thursday against the Kings despite being questionable with an ankle injury.

Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 12.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, rolled his ankle Wednesday when he was driving to the basket. 


Kings' DeMarcus Cousins to start Thursday against the Bucks

(8:23 pm ET) Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will start Thursday for Sacramento, coach Tyrone Corbin said pregame. 

Cousins has missed the past 10 games for the Kings while dealing with meningitis. 

The Kings are 7 1/2-point favorites Thursday against the Bucks. 


Agent: Bogut could be out until sometime in January

(8:14 pm ET) Warriors center Andrew Bogut has been dealing with a lingering knee issue and his agent said Thursday its possible he could miss a month.

"I'm not going to say two, three, four weeks, but that's probably a reasonable assumption if all goes well, and then he'll return sometime in January," said David Bauman of Relativity Sports agency.

Bogut, who was delcared out indefinitely earlier Thursday, opted to receive a shot in his knee to relieve some tendinitis he was dealing with. Bogut has already missed four games with the knee injury.

The Warriors have been using Draymond Green and Marreese Speights to fill in for both Bogut and Davis Lee. 


Blazers' Nicolas Batum questionable for Friday against the Spurs

(7:37 pm ET) Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum was unable to practice Thursday and is questionable for Friday's game against the Spurs.

Batum, who took a hard fall in Wednesday's game but was able to stay in the game, is averaging 8.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.

If he is unable to go, Dorell Wright and Victor Claver would assume the small forward duties.


Bulls' Taj Gibson ruled out on Thursday

(7:28 pm ET) Bulls forward Taj Gibson will not play Thursday night against the Knicks, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Gibson is dealing with an ankle injury, and came into the game listed as questionable. Gibson has been battling the injury for some time now, but was able to play the last five games despite the issue. Gibson is averaging 12.6 points in 17 games. 


Pelicans' Tyreke Evans to miss Thursday's game against the Rockets

(7:28 pm ET) Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans is out for Thursday's game against the Rockets with a right knee injury.

Evans, who is averaging 17.0 points, 5.8 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game, has not missed any time prior to this game because of the injury.

Austin Rivers will get the start in his place.
