Timberwolves PG Mo Williams (back) available Friday

(7:15 pm ET) Timberwolves point guard Mo Williams is available to play Friday against the Celtics, the team announced. Williams, who was listed as a gametime decision due to back spasms, has averaged 10.3 points and 6.4 assists in 17 games.

The 5-19 Timberwolves are 6-point underdogs against the 9-14 Celtics in Boston.


Report: 76ers to waive Ronny Turiaf

(7:07 pm ET) The 76ers will waive center Ronny Turiaf after acquiring him in a three-team trade Friday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Turiaf is out for the season after undergoing hip surgery earlier this week, and the Timberwolves unloaded his contract in the deal that sent Corey Brewer to the Rockets. The 76ers received a second-round pick along with Turiaf in exchange or Alexey Shved, who was sent to the Rockets in the deal.


Spurs SF Kawhi Leonard has torn ligament in right hand

(7:03 pm ET) Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard said Friday that is dealing with a torn ligament in his injured right hand, the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Leonard is missing his second straight game Friday and will sit for the fourth time in his team's last six games. He added before Friday's game that he'll have to wait for the swelling to subside before he can consider returning to action. He'll need just a couple of games before being able to return from the injury, Yahoo! Sports reports.

The Spurs are 4 1/2-point favorites against the Blazers.


Spurs coach Gregg Popovich will not rest players Friday

(6:56 pm ET) Spurs coach Gregg Popovich indicated that he will not rest any players in Friday's matchup with the Blazers, the San Antonio Express-News reports.

The Spurs endured a triple-overtime thriller against the Grizzlies Wednesday, with power forward Tim Duncan racking up 48 minutes in the game. However, it appears he and the rest of his healthy teams will be back in their regular roles just two days later in the first game of a back-to-back that ends in Dallas Saturday.

The Spurs, who will be without point guard Tony Parker and small forward Kawhi Leonard Friday, are 4 1/2-point favorites over the Blazers.


Pelicans SF Tyreke Evans a gametime decision Saturday

(6:53 pm ET) Pelicans small forward Tyreke Evans is a gametime decision for Saturday's game against the Blazers, The Times-Picayune reports.

Evans missed his first game of the season Thursday due to a knee injury. He has averaged 17.0 points, 5.8 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 24 games. Austin Rivers drew the start Thursday in place of Evans and may be called upon to do so again if Evans is deemed unable to play.


Blazers SF Nicolas Batum out Friday vs. Spurs

(6:48 pm ET) Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum (wrist, knee) will not play in Friday's game agains the Spurs, the team announced.

Batum suffered his injury on a nasty fall in Wednesday's game and was considered questionable to play Friday before being ruled out. He has averaged 8.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 22 games.

The Blazers are 4 1/2-pint underdogs in San Antonio against a Spurs team that is missing Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard Friday.


Bulls PF Taj Gibson out Friday vs. Grizzlies

(6:43 pm ET) Bulls power forward Taj Gibson (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Grizzlies, ESPN Chicago reports.

Gibson is missing his second straight game with the ankle issue after being ruled questionable to play Friday. He has averaged 12.6 points and 7.2 rebounds in 17 games.

The Bulls are 6 1/2-point undergoes against the Grizzlies in Memphis Friday.


Grizzlies SG Tony Allen (eye) ruled out Friday vs. Bulls

(6:39 pm ET) Grizzlies shooting guard Tony Allen (eye) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bulls.

Allen is dealing with a corneal abrasion suffered Tuesday and will miss his second straight game with the injury. He has averaged 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 22 games.

The Grizzlies are 6 1/2-point favorites against the Bulls Friday.


Bucks C John Henson questionable Saturday vs. Clippers

(6:37 pm ET) Bucks center John Henson (foot) is traveling to meet the team in Los Angles Friday and will be listed as questionable to play against the Clippers Saturday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Henson has been sidelined since Nov. 25 while recovering from a left foot sprain. He has averaged 4.2 points and 2.7 rebounds in 14 games.


Report: Turiaf to 76ers, Shved to Rockets in Corey Brewer trade

(6:33 pm ET) The trade sending small forward Corey Brewer from the Timberwolves to the Rockets has a third team involved, with Ronny Turiaf and a second-round pick heading to the 76ers and point guard Alexey Shved moving to the Rockets, Yahoo! Sports reports.

The Rockets are primed to pick up Brewer and Shved, with Rockets shooting guard Troy Daniels heading to Minnesota and Turiaf moving to the 76ers. The Rockets had agreed to send two second-round picks to the Timberwolves as well, but one of those picks will head to Philadelphia as part of the deal.

The Rockets will release guard Francisco Garcia in a corresponding move, Yahoo! Sports reports. He has averaged 3.2 points on 27 percent shooting in 14 games but has battled an ankle issue in recent weeks.
