Rockets' Howard participates in shootaround, questionable Wednesday

(2:21 pm ET) Rockets center Dwight Howard was able to participate in shootaround Wednesday in preparation for their game against the Nuggets and is considered questionable. 

Howard, who made his first appearance in 11 games Saturday, has been dealing with a knee injury for the majority of the season. He scored 26 points and pulled down 13 rebounds against the Nuggets Saturday. 

If Howard is unable to go, forward Donatas Motiejunas, Trevor Ariza, Tarik Black and Joey Dorsey would continue to see more minutes for Houston. 


Bulls' Joakim Noah practices fully, expected to play Thursday

(2:15 pm ET) Bulls center Joakim Noah was able to practice fully Wednesday and is expected to play Thursday against the Knicks if he responds well to treatment, coach Tom Thibodeau said Wednesday.

Noah, who is averaging 8.9 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, has missed Chicago's last four games due to an ankle injury. 

If he is unable to go, forward Taj Gibson would likely continue to see extended minutes. 


Hawks list Jeff Teague as doubtful for Wednesday against the Cavs

(2:07 pm ET) Hawks point guard Jeff Teague is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers with a left hamstring strain. 

Tegaue, who is averaging 16.8 points and 7.0 assists per game, injured his hamstring during the first half of Monday's gmae against the Bulls. He finished the game with 12 points, seven assists and three rebounds. 


Knicks guard J.R. Smith not traveling with team to Chicago

(2:02 pm ET) Knicks guard J.R. Smith is not traveling with the team to Chicago Wednesday and is considered out for Thursday's game against the Bulls. 

Smith, who is dealing with a heel injury, will miss his fifth consecutive game for New York.

He is averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 assists per game this year. 


Nets' Sergey Karasev out Wednesday with left oblique strain

Karasev, who is averaging 4.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, has seen extended playing time over the last week as the Nets were dealing with multiple injuries. 


Warriors assign Ognjen Kuzmic to NBA D-League affiliate Santa Cruz

(12:53 pm ET) The Warriors have assigned center Ognjen Kuzmic to their NBA D-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. 

Kuzmic, who has appeared in eight games this season for Golden State, has been used sparingly by the team, averaging just 4.3 minutes per game. 


Spurs expecting Duncan, Ginobili, Splitter back Wednesday

Duncan, Ginobili and Splitter missed Monday's game against the Trail Blazers. 


Suns' Goran Dragic expected to play Wednesday against the Hornets

Dragic, who has missed the last two games with a back strain, is averaging 16.1 points, 4.0 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game this year. 


Hornets' Cody Zeller to play Wednesday with broken nose

(11:27 am ET) Hornets forward Cody Zeller will play and start Wednesday despite suffering a broken nose Monday against the Cavaliers, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Zeller, who is averaging 8.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, may wear a protective mask for the contest, but that has yet to be decided. 


Cavaliers' Kevin Love a game-time decision Wednesday with the flu

(11:21 am ET) Cavaliers forward Kevin Love is expected to be a game-time decision Wednesday due to flu-like symptoms, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Love, who did not participate in shootaround Wednesday, is averaging 17.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in his first year in Cleveland. 

The Cavaliers take on the Hawks Wednesday.
