Jazz's Exum sustains knee injury playing for Australian National Team

(4:37 pm ET) Jazz guard Dante Exum is headed to Salt Lake City for further evaluation after sustaining a left knee injury Tuesday competing for the Australian National Team, the team announced.

The Jazz added they will provide further updates after Exum is re-evaluated.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound Exum averaged 4.8 points, 2.4 assists and 1.6 rebounds per game as a rookie in 2014-15. He appeared in all 82 games and shot 34.9 percent from the field.


Clippers announce signing of guard Pablo Prigioni

(4:20 pm ET) The Clippers announced Tuesday they signed guard Pablo Prigioni. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 38-year-old Prigioni joins the Los Angeles roster after playing in 67 games in 2014-15 between the Rockets and Knicks. He averaged 4.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 17.9 minutes per game.


Report: Knicks agree to one-year deal with C Kevin Seraphin

(11:40 am ET) The Knicks have added another big man to their rotation, reportedly reaching a one-year deal with former Wizards center Kevin Seraphin, per ESPN.com. 

Seraphin is scheduled to make $2.8 million from the new contract. He averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 79 games last season, all off the bench. Over five NBA seasons, all with Washington, the 6-foot-10 Seraphin averaged 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds. 

This offseason, the Knicks have added center Robin Lopez, forward/center Kyle O'Quinn and forward Derrick Williams. 


Van Gundy: Pistons SF Stanley Johnson ready to contribute

(11:01 am ET) Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy is excited with the potential of his first-round draft pick, forward Stanley Johnson, believing that the rookie can make an impact in Detroit's lineup from day one, per the team's website. 

Johnson exceled during Summer League action in Orlando, averaging 16.2 points and 6.8 rebounds while impressing Van Gundy with his poise. 

"He's got a long way to go and a lot to learn, but there's definitely something there that gives him a chance to be a really, really good player," Van Gundy said. "He's got extreme confidence and an extreme competitiveness. ... But coming out of Summer League, yeah, I have a pretty good confidence that certainly at some point in the year he's a guy who’s going to be able to play significant minutes at significant times."


Nuggets restructure, extend Danilo Gallinari

Gallinari signed a multiyear extension, although terms were not released. 

Gallinari averaged 12.4 points and 3.7 rebounds last season.


Heat sign second-round pick Josh Richardson

(8/3/2015) The Heat announced Monday they signed guard Josh Richardson. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Richardson played for the Heat summer leauge team in Orlando and Las Vegas. He played in 10 games (six starts), averaging 11.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.6 assists in 26.1 minutes per game.

Richardson was selected in the second round (40th overall) of the 2015 NBA Draft. He played four seasons at Tennessee (136 games), averaging 9.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 28.2 minutes per game.


Mavericks sign first-rounder Justin Anderson

(8/1/2015) The Mavericks signed first-round draft pick Justin Anderson, the team announced on Saturday.

Anderson was selected 21st overall out of Virginia. He averaged 17.5 points 4.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in Summer League. 


Clippers waive forward Jordan Hamilton

Hamilton was signed to a 10-day contract in February and later signed for the rest of the season. He averaged 2.7 points, and 1.1 rebounds this year. 


Report: NBAPA files grievance against Kings for Mbah a Moute

(8/1/2015) The National Basketball Players Association has filed a grievance against the Kings for voiding the contract of forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Kings voided the one-year, $1.5 million contract the two sides agreed to after Mbah a Moute failed a physical over concerns with his right shoulder. Mbah a Moute has been cleared to participate in an NBA exhibition game in Africa on Saturday.


Pelicans waive PG Toney Douglas

(7/31/2015) The Pelicans waived point guard Toney Douglas on Friday, the team announced.

Douglas averaged 4.3 points and 2.0 assists per game in 12 games for New Orleans last season.
