by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(4:36 pm ET) Future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan has provided an indication that he will play for the Spurs at least one more year by planning to join Gregg Popovich and teammate Tony Parker in a meeting with free agent LaMarcus Aldridge designed to convince him to come to San Antonio, a source has told Yahoo Sports.

Duncan has hinted at retirement after his defending champion team was bounced early in the playoffs last season. He remained effective, averaging 13.9 points and 9.1 rebounds in 29 minutes per game.

Report: Cavaliers, G Mo Williams have mutual interest
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(4:18 pm ET) Former Cavaliers guard Mo Williams is quite interested in returning to Cleveland and the feeling is mutual, a league source has told the Northeast Ohio Media Group, which is reporting that the two sides are expected to meet to discuss a possible deal.

The Cavaliers are seeking a point guard to back up injury-prone starter Kyrie Irving and a strong outside shooter. Williams, who can also play the off-guard position, can fill both those roles roles.

Williams played for Cleveland during the first LeBron James era and performed well, but struggled with his shot at times in the playoffs.

Report: Spurs talk trade with Cavaliers for C Brendan Haywood
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(3:59 pm ET) The Spurs have been discussing a deal with the Cavaliers that would land them forward Brendan Haywood, a league source had told the San Antonio Express-News.

That would free up cap space for Cleveland and allow the Spurs to shed his $10.5 million contract.

The 35-year-old Haywood has become more valuable for his contract than what he brings on the court. He played in just 22 games for the Cavaliers last season, mostly in garbage time.

The second overall pick in the 2011 draft is likely to land on his third team after averaging 8.3 points in 20 minutes per game for Sacramento last season. He did shoot a career-best 44.7 percent from the field, but was called out by George Karl for his inconsistency.
