Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire expects to miss time
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(10:17 am ET) After suffering an ankle and wrist sprain during Saturday's game, Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire said he doesn't know when he'll be available to play, reports Newsday.

"I'm sure it's going to be a little time for me to get over this ankle sprain and my wrist sprain," Stoudemire said. "But we'll see. I'll bombard it with rehab the next few days, recover and see how it feels."

Stoudemire, 32, has missed 13 games this season due to issues with his knees and it appears his history of injuries is catching up to him.

"It [stinks] getting old, guys," Stoudemire said.

The Knicks host the Kings on Monday and Stoudemire has not officially been ruled out. The Knicks are 4 1/2-point underdogs.

Pistons looking to add point guard
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(9:48 am ET) With point guard Brandon Jennings lost for the season due to a torn Achilles’ tendon, Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy told reporters the team is searching for another point guard, reports tsn.ca.

Guard D.J. Augustin replaced Jennings in the starting lineup during Sunday’s loss to the Raptors and scored a career-high 35 points. Reports have surfaced about the Pistons showing interest in Knicks guard Pablo Prigioni.

Lakers guard Jeremy Lin frustrated with diminished role
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(9:35 am ET) After not playing in Friday's loss to the Spurs, Lakers guard Jeremy Lin was admittedly frustrated with coach Byron Scott's decision not to play him, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.

"I'm human. I got emotions," Lin said. "I show up and do my best to play and work hard. But it definitely hurts. It's discouraging sometimes and disappointing. All of those emotions, of course. I don't think anybody would feel great after a DNP, no matter who you are."

Lin had a discussion with Scott to talk about his changing role, which Lin said was positive and productive. However, Scott said he will let the game dictate which players he will use.

"I watch and see how the game is going," Scott said. "I have a good idea of what I'm going to do. But I let the game dictate that."

Lin did play 28 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Rockets and scored 14 points with six assists. As Lin's role changes on a nightly basis, he said it can't let him change how he approaches the game.

"The only thing that has been consistent is the amount of inconsistency I've had in my life," Lin said. "I've gone from getting cut in the D-League to starting to playing heavy minutes to all these different roles every week. I have to keep staying aggressive when I get out there."
