Knicks C Andrea Bargnani could practice this week
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:44 pm ET) Knicks center Andrea Bargnani (calf, hamstring) could return to practice this week after having a strong workout on the court in Toronto, the New York Post reports.

Bargnani reported looked healthy during his oncourt workout, and he could be set to rejoin the team in practice during the three off-days leading up to a Dec. 25 game. He has yet to play this season while dealing with multiple injuries.

Knicks SG J.R. Smith (heel) could miss another week
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:39 pm ET) Knicks coach Derek Fisher doesn't expect to have guard J.R. Smith back "anytime very soon," adding that Smith could miss another week while resting his injured heel, the New York Post reports.

Smith is missing his seventh straight game with the injury Sunday, and it appears he'll miss at least a few more. He has averaged 10.3 points and 3.3 assists in 21 games.

Bulls PF Taj Gibson practices in full Sunday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:31 pm ET) Bulls power forward Taj Gibson (ankle) was a full participant in Sunday's practice, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Barring a setback, Gibson appears on track to return from a two-game absence Monday against the Raptors. He has averaged 12.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 17 games.

Magic coach Jacque Vaugh praises Evan Fournier
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:26 pm ET) Magic coach Jacque Vaughn had positive things to say about guard Evan Fournier, the Boston Globe reported Sunday.

"Evan’s been really good for us," Vaughn said. "I’ve been really pleased at his ability to guard two men [at different positions]. He is big for his size so that gives us a great luxury, and then he’s done a lot of other things that he did previously as far as shooting the basketball, having the basketball in his hands. We’ll give it to him at the end of quarters, so he’ll give us another ballhandler on the floor."

Fournier has averaged 14.6 points while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and starting every one of his 28 games played. The Magic face the 76ers at home Sunday as a 9-point favorite.

Cavaliers SG Mike Miller will play Sunday vs. Grizzlies
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(3:00 pm ET) Cavaliers shooting guard Mike Miller (ankle) will play Sunday against the Grizzlies, the team announced. Listed as questionable for Sunday's game, Miller scored 21 points in 34 minutes in his return from a concussion Friday.

The Cavaliers are a 4 1/2-point favorite at home against the Grizzlies.

Grizzlies' Tony Allen, Zach Randolph out Sunday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2:58 pm ET) Grizzlies shooting guard Tony Allen (eye) and power forward Zach Randolph (knee) will not play Sunday after not making the trip to Cleveland, the Commercial Appeal reports.

The team brought up shooting guard Jordan Adams and power forward Jarnell Stokes from the NBA Developmental League to provide depth at both positions. Allen is missing his third straight game with the eye issue, while Randolph played just 22 minutes Friday and will miss his first game of the season Sunday.

The Grizzlies are a 4 1/2-point underdog against the Cavaliers in Cleveland.

Bulls PG Derrick Rose (illness) practices partially Sunday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2:52 pm ET) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose was able to partially take part in practice Sunday as he continues to deal with an illness, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Coach Tom Thibodeau hopes that Rose will be able to play Monday against the Raptors, but Rose's status will likely depend on how he's feeling before the game. He has averaged 16.8 points and 5.1 assists in 16 games.

Rockets' James Harden, Dwight Howard probable vs. Blazers
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2:49 pm ET) Rockets shooting guard James Harden (hamstring) and center Dwight Howard (shoulder) are listed as probable for Monday's game against the Blazers, the Houston Chronicle reports.
