Heat F Luol Deng (thigh) downgraded to doubtful

(5:44 pm ET) Heat coach Erik Spoelstra announced that forward Luol Deng has been downgraded to doubtful for Friday night's game against the Wizards due to his thigh injury, according to the Miami Herald

Deng sustained a deep thigh bruise during Wednesday's 100-94 win over the Lakers. 

Forward Chris Andersen and guard Mario Chalmers are questionable. 


Hornets F Cody Zeller to start Friday against Raptors

(5:34 pm ET) Hornets forward Cody Zeller will return to the starting lineup Friday night against the Raptors, the team announced. 

Zeller scored 13 points in 16 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Nets, though he came off the bench. Forward Marvin Williams started in his place, primary for matchup reasons, and scored 18.

Zeller should see his minutes increase to over 20 as a starter. Zeller is averaging 7.7 points per outing but has posted double figures over the past four games, the longest such streak he's had this season. 


X-rays clean for Timberwolves G Gary Neal, will play Saturday

(5:15 pm ET) Timberwolves guard Gary Neal will be able to play Saturday against the Timberwolves, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune

According to FOX Sports North, X-rays came back negative for Neal. He injured his hand during practice on Friday. Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders didn't announce which hand it was that Neal hurt. 

Neal is averaging 9.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game this season. 


Report: Blazers reached out to Ray Allen after Wesley Matthews injury

(4:56 pm ET) Earlier this week, free agent shooting guard Ray Allen announced he wouldn't return to the NBA this season. 

That didn't stop the Trail Blazers from trying. With Wesley Matthews tearing his Achilles tendon on Thursday, Portland reached out to Allen to see if he'd reconsider, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports. 

Allen stood by his original decision and declined the offer. 

Allen hasn't ruled out the possibility of returning next season. But he is 39 at this time and could be nearing retirement. 


Clippers sign Jordan Hamilton to second 10-day contract

(3:29 pm ET) Guard Jordan Hamilton signed a second 10-day contract with the Clippers, according to the Los Angeles Times

Hamilton signed his first contract back in late February. Since joining the Clippers, he's averaged 3.3 points per game in four appearances. Before being called up to the Clippers, Hamilton was averaging 18.1 points and 7.6 rebounds in the NBA Development League. 

The contract is worth $55,800. 


Clippers' Matt Barnes, Jamal Crawford doubtful for Sunday

(3:14 pm ET) Clippers forward Matt Barnes and guard Jamal Crawford are doubtful for Sunday's game against the Warriors, according to ESPN. 

Barnes has missed the past two games due to a hamstring injury. Crawford sustained a calf injury during Monday's win against the Timberwolves. If Crawford misses another game, guard Austin Rivers is expected to receive more playing time. Replacing Barnes in minutes would be forward Glen Davis. 


Bucks F Jared Dudley questionable for Wizards game

(2:53 pm ET) Bucks forward Jared Dudley has been designated questionable for Saturday's game against the Wizards, according to FOX Sports Wisconsin. 

Dudley is dealing with a left knee injury, which occurred in last Friday's loss to the Lakers. For the season, Dudley is averaging 7.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Dudley was unable to practice on Friday. 

Bucks guard O.J. Mayo has been ruled out due to a sore right hamstring.

(2:49 pm ET) Bucks guard O.J. Mayo has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Wizards, according to FOX Sports Wisconsin. 

Mayo is experiencing soreness in his right hamstring, which has bothered him over the past week. For the season, Mayo is averaging 11.8 points per game. Mayo was unable to practice on Friday. 

Bucks forward Jared Dudley is questionable with a left knee injury. 


Mavericks F Chandler Parsons ruled out against Warriors

(2:41 pm ET) Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons will not play in Friday night's game against the Warriors, according to the team's website

Parsons has a left ankle injury and wasn't expected to play against Golden State coming in. 

Guard J.J. Barea is questionable with a left thumb strain and guard Devin Harris is doubtful with a right hand injury.

Harris is dealing with a right hand injury. He sustained the injury Thursday night against the Trail Blazers, though X-rays came back clean.
