DeAndre Jordan adds Knicks to list of meetings

(6/29/2015) Clippers free agent center DeAndre Jordan will have a busy first week of free agency.

The Knicks are the latest team that will visit Jordan in Los Angeles after free agency begins, per the New York Daily News.

Jordan had already reportedly planned visits with the Lakers, Mavericks, Bucks and Clippers.


Hawks' Kyle Korver to have elbow surgery on Tuesday

(6/29/2015) Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver will have elbow surgery on Tuesday, per NBA.com.

The procedure will remove loose bodies from Korver's right elbow. A timetable for recovery will be determined after it's completed. 

Korver will have the procedure performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, by Dr. David Altchek.


Warriors bypass option on Justin Holiday

Holiday is now a free agent. In 59 games last season, Holiday averaged 4.3 points and 0.8 assists.


Warriors extend qualifying offer to Ognjen Kuzmic

(6/29/2015) The Warriors decided to extend a qualifying offer to center Ognjen Kuzmic on Monday, reports The San Francisco Chronicle.

Kuzmic is now a restricted free agent and the Warriors can match any outside offers. In 16 games last season, Kuzmic averaged 1.2 points and 1.1 rebounds.


Julius Randle practices, dunks for Lakers

(6/29/2015) Lakers PF Julius Randle took part in an individual workout on Monday, which was observed by media attending the team's rookie press conference. 

As a rookie, Randle suffered a season-ending broken leg on opening night last season.

Randle was able shoot, drive and dunk during the workout, per the L.A. Daily News.


Report: Spurs shopping Tiago Splitter to sign LaMarcus Aldridge

Splitter is scheduled to make $8.5 million next season, and ridding themselves of that contract would give the Spurs more room to pursue free agent LaMarcus Aldridge

Aldridge averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds last season. He'll also meet with the Knicks during the first week of free agency, per OregonLive.com.


Report: Knicks hope to meet with Spurs' Danny Green

(6/29/2015) The Knicks hope to meet with Spurs free agent shooting guard Danny Green, according to a report by the New York Post.

That meeting won't take place at the start of free agency, however, because Green is reportedly in Brazil. 

The Spurs are also going to make a strong push to retain Green.


Report: Knicks frontrunners to sign Arron Afflalo, Greg Monroe

(6/29/2015) The Knicks are the frontrunners to sign Trail Blazers guard Arron Afflalo and Pistons forward Greg Monroe when they becomes free agents on Tuesday, Yahoo reported

The Knicks have been rumored to be the likely landing spot for Monroe for several months. He's expected to sign a maximum contract

Afflalo opted out of his Portland contract. He's expected to sign with the Knicks for three years, $36-38 million, which would fit under the team's salary cap.  

Monroe averaged 15.9 points and 10.2 rebounds last year. Afflalo averaged 13.3 points and 3.2 rebounds. 


Rashard Lewis planning NBA comeback

(6/29/2015) Rashard Lewis plans to return to the NBA in 2015-16, after missing all of last season following knee surgery. 

The 35-year-old Lewis last played for Miami in 2013-14. He was cut by Dallas in training camp last season after failing a physical due to the knee injury. 

Lewis' agents, Tony Dutt and Colin Bryant, said that he hopes to return, per Yahoo
