West, who opted out of his contract with the Pacers, says his motivation is to join a team that will help him get closer to winning a championship.


Report: Kings, Knicks, Clippers show interest in Dahntay Jones

Jones averaged 0.6 points and 0.3 rebounds in 33 games last season.


Cavs reach deal with Iman Shumpert

(7/1/2015) The Cavaliers and guard Iman Shumpert have agreed to a four-year, $40 million contract for him to remain with the team, reports CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger.

Shumpert was a restricted free agent after the Cavs recently extended him a qualifying offer. He averaged 8.0 points and 3.6 rebounds in 62 games last season.


Reports: Clippers reach deal with Paul Pierce

(7/1/2015) The Clippers and have reached a contract agreement with forward Paul Pierce on Wednesday, reports Yahoo Sports and the Orange County Register. The reported deal is for three years and nearly $10 million.

By joining the Clippers, Pierce would be reunited with coach Doc Rivers, who coached Pierce in Boston. Pierce averaged 11.9 points and 4.0 rebounds in 73 games for the Wizards last season.


Report: Grizzlies sign F Brandan Wright to three-year deal

(7/1/2015) Forward Brandan Wright has signed a three-year contract with the Grizzlies totaling almost $18 million, league sources have told Yahoo Sports.

The free agent played for Dallas, Boston and Phoenix last season. He averaged 7.3 points in about 19 minutes per game. He shot 64.2 percent from the floor.


Free agent Paul Millsap will re-sign with Hawks

Millsap, who was reportedly choosing between the Hawks and Magic, averaged 16.7 points and 7.8 rebounds last season.


Report: SG Iman Shumpert looking beyond Cavaliers

(7/1/2015) Shooting guard Iman Shumpert had been considered a strong bet to remain with the Cavaliers, but he has been unable to reach an agreement with that team and will begin meeting with others, sources have told Yahoo Sports.

Shumpert performed well in both a starting and reserve role for Cleveland, but a shoulder injury hindered him in the finals. He averaged 8.0 points for the Knicks and Cavaliers this season in 25 minutes per game and shot a career-best 41 percent from the floor.


Nets sign first-round draft pick Chris McCullough

(7/1/2015) The Nets announced the signing of first-round draft pick Chris McCullough on Wednesday.

McCullough was the 29th pick in the 2015 draft. He averaged 9.3 points and 6.9 rebounds in 16 games for Syracuse last season.


Report: Clippers working to keep PF Glen Davis

(7/1/2015) Clippers president and coach Doc Rivers has reached out to the representatives of power forward Glen Davis, whom they would like to retain, a source has told Yahoo Sports.

The 29-year-old Davis played just 904 minutes last season, the lowest total of his career. He averaged a career-low 4.0 points per game, but shot 45.9 percent from the field, his finest accuracy since his rookie season.


Report: Cavaliers show interest in SF Tayshaun Prince

(7/1/2015) The Cavaliers have expressed an interest in veteral small forward Tayshaun Prince, who they believe could provide badly needed depth on the wing, sources have told the Northeast Ohio Media Group, which is further reporting that talks have only been exploratory.

The 35-year-old Prince averaged 7.5 points per game for Memphis, Boston and Detroit a year ago and shot a strong 46 percent from beyond the arc.
