Report: Nuggets pushing Hickson-McGee combo for Nets' Lopez
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) The Nuggets have been reportedly targeting Nets center Brook Lopez in the run up to the trade deadline, and the team has been pushing a combination of big men JJ Hickson and JaVale McGee in talks with the Nets, ESPN reports.

The Nets, per the report, have refused the Nuggets offer for Lopez, who scored a season-high 35 points on 15 of 28 shooting Friday while hauling in 12 rebounds. The team should have plenty of interested parties looking to add Lopez and his upside before the deadline.

Jazz C Rody Gobert doubles up vs. Warriors Friday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Jazz center Rudy Gobert scored 10 points on 4 of 7 shooting while hauling in 10 rebounds in his team's 110-100 win over the Warriors Friday.

The double-double was the sixth of the month for Gobert, who played 25 minutes off the bench in the win. He also blocked two shots but made just two of his six free-throw attempts after entering the game with a 67 percent success rate on free throws. The Jazz will square off with the Blazers Tuesday.

Jazz SF Gordon Hayward delivers 26-15 line vs. Warriors
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward scored a team-high 26 points on 9 of 20 shooting while hauling in a career-high 15 rebounds in his team's 110-100 win over the Warriors Friday.

Hayward turned in his 10th career game with double digits in rebounds, but his previous had been a 13-rebound game last season. He also racked up six assists and three steals in 38 minutes in the win. Hayward and the Jazz are set to face the Blazers Tuesday.

Warriors PG Stephen Curry scores team-high 32 vs. Jazz
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Warriors point guard Stephen Curry scored a team-high 32 points on 10 of 22 shooting, including 5 of 9 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 110-100 loss to the Jazz Friday.

Curry matched his highest scoring total for the month of January Friday but it wasn't enough to avoid a second straight loss for the Warriors, who are 11-3 this month. He tallied seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in 34 minutes Friday. The Warriors will look to bounce back Saturday against the Suns.

Heat C Hassan Whiteside posts 16-24 line vs. Mavericks
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Heat center Hassan Whiteside scored 16 points on 7 of 11 shooting while grabbing a career-high 24 rebounds in his team's 93-72 loss to the Mavericks Friday.

Whiteside set a franchise record by racking up 14 rebounds in the first quarter, despite playing just eight minutes before being sent to the bench with two fouls. He was unable to keep up the monstrous pace but did deliver his first career performance with at least 20 rebounds while chipping in one steal and one block in 29 minutes. The Heat will square off with the Celtics Sunday.

Mavericks PF Charlie Villanueva scores season-high 20 Friday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Mavericks power forward Charlie Villanueva scored a season-high 20 points on 7 of 15 shooting, including 6 of 11 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 93-72 win over the Heat Friday.

Villanueva played just a total of 17 minutes in the team's last seven games but managed to excel in 23 minutes of action Friday, knocking down at least six three-pointers for just the fifth time in his career. He also grabbed five rebounds and blocked one shot in the win, which ended a four-game losing streak for the Mavericks. They'll square off with the Magic Saturday.

Pelicans SG Eric Gordon scores season-high 28 vs. Clippers
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Pelicans shooting guard Eric Gordon scored a season-high 28 points on 10 of 20 shooting, including 5 of 7 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 108-103 win over the Clippers Friday.

"I had it going good when I first hit those couple 3s early in the game and then I attacked the rim," Gordon said after the game, per the Associated Press. "As long as I keep mixing it up like that, it's going to be hard for a team to predict what I'm going to do."

Gordon set several season highs while leading the Pelicans in scoring Friday, including in shots made, shots attempts and three-pointers made. He also racked up seven assists, two rebounds and one steal in 38 minutes of action. The Pelicans will square off with the Hawks Monday.

Clippers C DeAndre Jordan doubles up vs. Pelicans
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Clippers center DeAndre Jordan scored 12 points on 6 of 7 shooting while hauling in 15 rebounds in his team's 108-103 loss to the Pelicans Friday.

Jordan managed his ninth double-double of the month Friday but just his first in the last three games. He also blocked three shots in his 34 minutes of action. Jordan and the Clippers will head to San Antonio to face the Spurs Saturday.

Clippers PG Chris Paul scores team-high 24 vs. Pelicans
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Clippers point guard Chris Paul scored a team-high 24 points on 10 of 20 shooting, including 3 of 9 shooting from behind the arc, in his team's 108-103 loss to the Pelicans Friday.

Paul matched his best scoring performance of the month Friday while shooting at least 50 percent from the field for the fourth straight game. He racked up eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 38 minutes, but it wasn't enough to prevent the end of the team's six-game winning streak. The Clippers will look to bounce back Saturday against the Spurs in San Antonio.

Cavaliers PF Kevin Love doubles up vs. Kings Friday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2015) Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love scored a team-high 23 points on 9 of 17 shooting, including 2 of 5 shooting from behind the arc, while hauling in 10 rebounds in his team's 101-90 win over the Kings Friday.

Love has managed double-doubles in three of his last four games, but his 23 points marked his highest scoring output since Jan. 11. He also dished out three assists in 29 minutes of action. The Cavaliers take a nine-game winning streak into Saturday's matchup with the Timberwolves.
