Report: Clippers interested in free agent C JaVale McGee
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(6:04 pm ET) The Clippers are targeting free agent center JaVale McGee after losing DeAndre Jordan to Dallas, league sources have told Yahoo Sports.

The career of McGee went decidedly in the wrong direction last season. He was waived by Philadelphia in March. He played just 11 minutes a game for that team and Denver and averaged a career-low 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds.

Report: C.J. Watson hooks up with Magic
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(5:55 pm ET) Veteran point guard C.J. Watson has agreed to sign with the Magic, a source has told Yahoo Sports.

The deal is reportedly for three years and $15 million.

Watson will be joining his fifth team in nine seasons. He averaged 10 points and 3.6 assists in 25 minutes per game for Indiana last season.

Report: SF Tobias Harris set to stay with Magic
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(5:49 pm ET) Free agent small forward Tobias Harris has agreed to a new deal to remain with the Magic, a person with knowledge of the situation has told the Associated Press.

The deal is reportedly for four years and $64 million.

Harris averaged a career-best 17.1 points a game last season and also peaked by shooting 36 percent from beyond the arc.

Report: James won't join Cavaliers until Tristan Thompson signed
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(5:44 pm ET) Cavaliers superstar LeBron James does not plan to negotiate a new contract until the team locks up emerging power forward Tristan Thompson, per ESPN. Both are represented by agent Rich Paul.

Talks between Cleveland and Thompson have stalled, but are expected to reach fruition. The two sides had been reportedly been close to agreeing on a five-year deal worth $80 million, but no updates have since been provided.

Report: Lakers working on deal for Pacers C Roy Hibbert
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(5:34 pm ET) Stinging from the rejection by free agent big men LaMarcus Aldridge and DeAndre Jordan, the Lakers are talking trade in an attempt to land Pacers center Roy Hibbert, according to ESPN.

Hibbert has remained consistent statistically since 2010 with Indiana. He has averaged between 10-13 points every season after his rookie year, though his 10.6 mark in 2014-15 was his worst of that stretch.

Report: Cavaliers have serious interest in PF David West
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(5:24 pm ET) The Cavaliers have thrown their hat in the ring as a contender to land veteran free agent forward David West, according to the Indianapolis Star, which is claiming they have huge interest.

It would remain to be seen where West would fit in, particularly if Tristan Thompson re-signs with Cleveland. Fellow power forward Kevin Love has already done so and Anderson Varejao, who can also play that position, should be healthy to start next season.

West, who would like to finish his career playing for a potential NBA champion, continued to fade last year. His 11.7-per-game averaged was his lowest since 2005.

Pelicans keep SF Dante Cunningham in Big Easy
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(5:14 pm ET) The Pelicans have re-signed free agent forward Dante Cunningham, the New Orleans Times-Picayune has reported.

Cunningham played in 66 games last season and averaged 5.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in about 25 minutes per game. He shot 45.7 percent from the floor.

Report: Center Bismack Biyombo agrees to deal with Raptors
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer
(2:16 pm ET) The Raptors and free-agent center Bismack Biyombo have agreed upon a two-year, $6 million deal, sources told Yahoo Sports.

A four-year veteran, Biyombo averaged 4.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game last season for the Hornets.

Free agent LaMarcus Aldridge to sign with Spurs
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer
(12:17 pm ET) The free-agent roller coaster ride that is LaMarcus Aldridge will come to an end as the All-Star forward has agreed to join the Spurs, he announced the decision on his Twitter account.

Aldridge was courted by a number of teams in free agency and held meetings with the Spurs, Lakers, Suns, Mavericks and Rockets.

Aldridge averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds in 71 games for the Trail Blazers last season.

Report: Knicks sign Derrick Williams to two-year deal
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(12:48 am ET) The Knicks signed free agent power forward Derrick Williams to a two-year, $10 million contract, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Williams averaged 8.3 points and 2.7 rebounds with the Kings last season.
