Clippers guard Chris Paul doubles up Suns in victory Sunday

(9:19 pm ET) Clippers point guard Chris Paul scored 23 points on 7 of 11 shooting, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range, in Los Angeles' 120-100 win over the Suns.

Paul also dished out 12 assists to pick up his 21st double-double of the season. He came up two rebounds short of his second triple-double of the year. Paul also added two steals to his night.


Clippers' DeAndre Jordan posts third straight double-double in win

(9:16 pm ET) Clippers center DeAndre Jordan scored 18 points on a perfect 5 of 5 shooting from the field, including 8 of 15 from the free throw line, in Los Angeles' 120-100 win over the Suns Sunday.

Jordan continued his strong shooting streak, where in his last three games, his is 20 of 21 from the field. Jordan also grabbed 14 rebounds to record his third straight double-double and his 23rd of the season. Jordan also blocked four shots and dished out two assists.


Timberwolves' Robbie Hummel out indefinitely with hand fracture

(9:07 pm ET) Timberwolves forward Robbie Hummel suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand and will be out indefinitely, the team announced Sunday after their game against the Hawks.

Hummel suffered the injury at the end of the third quarter after scoring nine points and grabbing four rebounds.


Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans doubles up Mavericks in win Sunday

(9:00 pm ET) Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans scored 24 points on 11 of 19 shooting in New Orleans' 109-106 win over the Mavericks Sunday. Evans not only shot well in the contest, he distributed the ball well, dishing out a game-high 12 assists.

It was Evans' sixth double-double of the season and third game in his last five scoring over 20 points. In his last five games, Evans is averaging 21.8 points and 6.4 assists.


Mavericks guard Rajon Rondo nears triple-double in losing effort

(8:55 pm ET) Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo scored 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting in Dallas' 109-106 loss to the Pelicans Sunday. Not only did Rondo shoot well in the contest, he spread the wealth, dishing out nine assists and grabbing eight rebounds.

Rondo came up one assist short of his 12th double-double of the season and two rebounds short of his third triple-double of the year. He added two steals to his totals on the night.


Pelicans' Anthony Davis doubles stuffs the stat sheet in Sunday's win

(8:52 pm ET) Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis scored 28 points on 8 of 18 shooting, including 12 of 14 from the free throw line, in New Orleans' 109-106 win over the Mavericks Sunday. In addition to shooting well, Davis grabbed 10 rebounds to give him his 25th double-double of the season.

Davis also racked up five steals and dished out three assists in the contest.


Mavericks guard Monta Ellis explodes for 36 points in losing effort

(8:47 pm ET) Mavericks shooting guard Monta Ellis scored 36 points on 16 of 27 shooting, including 4 of 9 from 3-point range, in Dallas' 109-106 loss Sunday to the Pelicans.

It was Ellis' second highest scoring output in a game this season and first time scoring over 30 points in a game since Dec. 20. Ellis also grabbed five rebounds and dished out two assists in the losing effort.


Report: Hornets, Nets discussing Lance Stephenson, Joe Johnson trade

(8:38 pm ET) The Hornets and Nets have reportedly re-opened trade talks with the focus on guards Joe Johnson and Lance Stephenson, according to Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brooklyn and Charlotte are looking at a larger deal which would include Stephenson, Gerald  Henderson and Marvin Williams.

Johnson has recently dealt with tendinitis in his knee and ankle and is due to make $24.9 million next season.


Timberwolves' Robbie Hummel leaves with right hand injury Sunday

(8:32 pm ET) Timberwolves forward Robbie Hummel suffered a right hand injury during Sunday's loss to the Hawks and was unable to return to action.

Hummel played 23 minutes, scoring nine points on 3 of 6 shooting and grabbed four rebounds before exiting the game. His status for Minnesota's game Monday against the Thunder is unknown.


Rockets center Dwight Howard officially out Sunday against Lakers

(8:14 pm ET) Rockets center Dwight Howard will miss Sunday's game against the Lakers with an ankle injury, coach Kevin McHale confirmed pregame.

Howard, who is averaging 16.3 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, injured his ankle in Friday's game against the Suns. Joey Dorsey will start in Howard's place.

The Rockets are currently 8 1/2-point favorites Sunday.
